EXTREME LET DOWN!!! We should have known after reading the other reviews. However, we wanted to give them an honest shot. The food is edible, but not even close to worth the money. We expected them to knock it out of the park with at least one item. Unfortunately that WASN'T the case!!!
Had reservations at 7:30 and were seated right away, took about 10 minutes for our waitress to come greet us, however multiple other people insisted we would be helped soon. They brought water which tasted VERY chlorinated, almost undrinkable. I would have rather had a bottled water. We ordered the Beef Croquettes as an appetizer for $16 which included only 3 small Croquettes, they were ok ish but nothing special, definitely did not wow us. We also ordered a Wedge salad for $10 which was small, looked like store bought French's fried onions on top and just some poorly washed lettuce sprinkled with bacon, blue cheese and dressing, again, it was ok ish but not a wow by any means. I got the Prime Rib for $45 (which comes with no sides by the way, those are $9 extra) it was unfortunately the DRIEST, FLAVORLESS prime rib I've EVER had in my life!!!! We also ordered a Sirloin which was better than the Prime but not by much (It was $34) We shared a side of Mac and Cheese, which was dry, pretty flavorless, sprinkled with cheese on top and then burnt, literally charred on top, how do you mess up mac and cheese?? With no drinks, two bare steaks, one tiny appetizer, one side and one small side salad we spent $130+ AND left feeling hungry with the worst steaks of our lives in what seems to be the absolute cheapest to go box I've ever seen in my life, it would not even support the left overs from the bottom without caving in, was an almost comical finale to a extremely poor meal.
The atmosphere was kind of cool, however it was pretty loud for a fancy restaurant, was difficult to hear sitting right next to each other
NOT WORTH THE MONEY SPENT Go to Texas Roadhouse and you'll have more/better food, for 1/3 of the cost, leave full and happy.
We would recommend Fyre Grill or Alley Rose in Kearney if you want...
Read moreExtremely disappointing from the beginning to the end. It took over 15 minutes to get our drinks. It took 20 minutes to receive our appetizers of French onion soup- served hot & crab cake- luke warm, but both good. When finished the appetizers, we ordered dinner, the tortellini & the lobster risotto. A little over a half hour after ordering we we told there was no more lobster risotto. Decided on the lobster bisque. When served dinner 20 minutes later, the bisque was luke warm & salty, so I sent it back. My friend's totellinni was hot, also salty, but she ate it. We were hoping desserts would make up for everything, but sadly, the offerings were typical restaurant fare. The flan was ordered, turning out to be a bland vanilla pudding with an almost burnt glaze. Observations in the dining room showed the inexperience of many of the the staff, including our server, not clearing plates between courses, serving food to men before women, and in 1 case, serving 3 people at 1 table, and serving the fourth person almost 15 minutes later. The dining room wasn't filled to capacity by 8:30 and did get louder but there was no background music to act as a buffer for all the silent chaos that surrounded us. The lack of staff training and the inconsistency of food will need to be upgraded for this...
Read moreI enjoyed Ruthie’s on opening night and loved the staff, drinks and appetizers. I got nervous after reading some of the reviews, to come in. But I’m so glad i ignored them! We started with the a manhattan and lemon drop martini to drink, and the lobster bisque. I could eat that soup for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!! Neither of us were too hungry so we split the prime ribeye with the broccolini side and risotto. I’m not sure what they did to make a vegetable taste so good but it was perfect. The steak was cooked perfectly to our taste and it was a great cut! Although served with a sauce the steak itself was great without it. Of course after all those wonderful bites we had to have the key lime pie, because it’s summer so why not. It was everything I hoped! Cinthya was our server and she was fantastic! I hope we can make places like this work, I already know what I’m ordering next time while I...
