Good good for a good price. We got three of their specialty burgers, and they were very satisfying. We also got some boudin balls, which were just right! The place is in a gas station/convenience store. If you're from upper Jefferson Parish, it will remind you of a "Brothers" but with a different menu. Not exquisite food, but definitely worth the price. We have found that the restaurants in Grand Isle are overpriced, so a good solid burger was perfectly fine for us. I didn't want to try a poboy because it seems that Grand Isle does not have access to the right kind of bread for poboys. At least that's been our experience at other places in the area. Overall, we liked this place, and recommend it for a good lunch.

Technically, this place is a gas station. The fact that they have a pretty legit burger is a bonus. And yet another food place that has its own cat (an inside cat at Tommy’s and an outside cat at Starfish). At least this place built him a house! They are missing their roof over the gas pumps from I assume the hurricane. And there is lots of outside seating under the station. Decent place!

We went to see how Grand isle recovered from the hurricane.. went for coffee after we ate lunch. None was freshly made because they said it was too hot to drink coffee. well it isn’t too hot for coffee drinkers who stopped to patronize your store. But Other than that everything was neat and clean, nice restrooms

Update: These guys are great! I went here to try out the Jo-Bob's burger and got a bowl of gumbo with no rice. This time it had no rice! As I was leaving the owners son approached me and apologized for the issue I had previously and refunded my money. Not just that but he was very sincere about his family business and how they try to do the best they can to make people happy. Im from Houston here for work and wish the business' back home would have this type of caring, commitment and show of integrity. If you're in town try out their food. Everything I had was excellent and the Jo-Bob burger was awesome!

Original post:

The gumbo here is pretty good and priced well at 5 bucks. An hour before they closed I ordered a big bowl of gumbo with with no rice on the day of the Marti Gras parade. Later when I heat it up and about to eat it, it is was full of rice. Ok no problem I'm sure they'll take care of it tomorrow. Th next day, after work I go and tell them what happened and they girl says she'll fix it. Here's the good part, not only did she charge me for their mistake another bowl of gumbo, but a few hours later I heat up the new bowl of gumbo and it was full of rice AGAIN!! You can't make this stuff up. I'm sorry but this is just poor treatment of a customer.

Why charge a customer for your mistake? If a customer complains about something wouldn't you try your best to fix it?

I paid for the second bowl because I didn't care about the money but come on...fix your...

We went to JoBobs every day for coffee. It is a nice convenience store and the coffee is good. Our last night on the island we ordered food to go. We had called in our order and were told 15 minutes. The store was busy. Our order was taking a long time and when we asked about it, they discovered they had given our order to someone else. No apologies, just excuses. We were told it would take less than 10 minutes to recook our order......20 minutes later we finally got it. It took an hour to get our called in order. While the order wasn't correct even after we got it, the food was awesome, but the attitude not so much. A sorry, here is a discount, or complimentary something would have been appreciated.

Update. Thank you Debbie. It may be another year or two before we are back on the island.

Update. 5/13/2020. Debbie kept her word and made things more than right. Then you Debbie you...
