I'll cut to the chase, if you're looking for food near it, go to Kunikos it's 5 buildings down. There's your TLDR.
For a full overview let's start with the service, It started off well the waitress was out quick and took out orders. And we waited... And waited... And waited close to an hour for two burgers. Before you say "they were busy so there's a wait" our food was stone cold. Both plates. And good luck getting a drink refill we managed one in the time we were there and spent a good 75% of the time with empty cups.
Next, the bathroom, out of soap, paper towels were jammed, and it was in desperate need of cleaning.
The food itself was overcooked. We ordered two medium burgers and either well is a charcoal briquette or they overcooked both burgers. As I mentioned before the food was ice cold meaning it quite clearly sat out. If I had to guess 5-8 minutes if not more.whats worse the food was mediocre. The patties only covered 80% of the bun so there were meatless bites, the toppings were good (other than the green that were wilted from sitting when out food WAS hot) but it wasn't worth 15+ a burger for some goat cheese and apricot jam on a cold over cooked burger that didn't fit the bun..
The waitress was rather snippy. "do we pay here or at the front" "HERE!" And sadly she didn't do a lot to rehabilitate her image given we saw her three times at most. Once at the start, once for the single refill we got, and once for the bill. (Pretty sure the cook had to bring us our cold food). Plus and this is just something that annoyed me personally I was given a to-go box that very clearly wouldn't fit the remaining burger and she never showed up again to ask for a bigger one!
Overall go literally anywhere else, hell if you need ale while you eat get a bento to go from Kunikos, or even the Chipotle across the road and drop by the liquor store next door, you'll be glad you did.
Oh also that place is the least wheelchair accessible place in junction I think. Yes I know we're known for our mountains and I stand by...
Read moreWe stopped late one night on our way through town to grab a quick drink and a snack at the bar & to catch the end of a Monday Night Football game while traveling.
Our initial reaction was lack luster as it took us a while to get greeted even though the place wasn't super busy at 8:00 p.m. on a Monday night. We were also surprised to find that they didn't have any specials or discounts for the football game like many sports bars often times view. A small drink discount or some sort of appetizer special would have been nice.
Once we got past that though it was a rather enjoyable experience. The drink selection was wide as it was diverse with lots of options. I was surprised to see such an extensive list of sour beers as some places we popped into during our travels had seemingly never even heard of sour beer. The prices were a little bit on the high side but otherwise great drink options.
As for food, I can't comment too much on this aspect other than to say that people around us were ordering entrees and it looked and smelled good plus they seem to be enjoying them. We got a basket of the French fries and I must say that these were really delicious. We even debated getting a second basket because they were so good.
There were plenty of large TVs all around the bar area so it was easy to watch the game and I didn't notice a bad seat or a place where you'd have to have your head turned the whole time to watch. The bar itself was a bit uncomfortable as it has a rather large trim piece around the edge that's just awkward to try to rest your elbows or arms on to. It looks really cool and is ornate but makes spending any amount of time at the bar at all and incredibly uncomfortable experience.
Overall our experience here was all right. It wasn't bad but it also wasn't amazing. I feel like they could make a couple of small adjustments and this review would have got another star out of me as it was borderline three...
Read moreI want so bad to give a 5-star review because your food is exceptionally delicious!!! It was my first time to have a restaurant dining experience since the stay-at-home order in March and my environment felt safe and clean. Please understand that I waitressed and bussed tables for many years so I understand what it's like to be on the other side of the table. I don't take giving a review lightly but as one of my favorite restaurants I'm hoping that this will be a helpful critique. We experienced several frustration. We had to ask to place our order after waiting a little more than 30 minutes and not one time did we get a refill for tea unless we asked for it. That in itself it was not easy to get somebody's attention. We didn't get one offer for a refill on water. I'm not sure if the new protocol is that you can't have any condiments ready to use on the table but we had to specifically asked for the salt and pepper, sugar dish and silverware settings even though we had called ahead. We we're NEVER checked on to see if our food was good and if everything was all right. We had to run somebody down for leftover boxes and on top of it we had to holler across the way to get our tickets! We were there for 2 hours for what we thought would be a 1 hour lunch break. It was frustrating because we were only one of maybe six to eight tables being served outside. I don't know if you're understaffed or dealing with new staff but wow, extremely disappointing service. I am so sorry because they were friendly enough and very capable. It just felt like we were completely forgotten... over and over. I'm hoping that this review will help you to make things better for future guests. You've always have a high standard and maybe it was just an off-day. I will be back with...
