Friend and I stopped on our way home. I'm definitely not disappointed! We were sat incredibly quickly (Thursday afternoon, may change on weekends), polite service, and tasty food.
The two of us utterly smashed two appetizers - their weekly special of Gold Rolls and Buffalo Cauliflour. What started with questions ended in delight "gold sauce? What's that?" Hannah said to me as we waited, "I don't know, but I sure hope it tastes good." Just as I finished saying this, our waitress, Kat, swung open wide, the single red door separating us from what would soon be described as utter bliss. Upon stepping outside into a lively atmosphere of a group of friends excited to see their friend Dave - who had just arrived, awaited two, eager and starved 20 somethings drooling at the thought of devouring that of which they knew little. Brought before their very eyes was a beautifully plated pile of crispy, mouth wateringlu delicious Beer Battered Buffalo Cauliflower, made better by one thing and one thing only - the perfect portion size of dipping ranch. Hitting the table next was 8, perfectly crafted Pinwheeles stuffed with things I'm too full to remember. This was just the appetizers.
Next came the Pizza. I had to re read the menu a second time when I thought I had read "Jalapeño Popper Pizza," two of my favorite things combined into one, deliciously crispy, cheesy dish? To my suprise, my eyes this time had not deceived me - Jalapeño Popper Pizza was clearly printed in the menu. I was breathless. "You in?" I asked, fierce hunger piercing stomach. Two words. "I'm in," As we quickly devoured our appetizers, we waited in bellyaching agony, awaiting the epitome of perfection to land upon our table. With drool running down our chins, Hannah said, "A man woke up in his hotel room, pushed his car 3 blocks, and got arrested. Why?" This exchange of riddles continued until our waitress (at first we thought, how rude") said "excuse me,". Angry eyes quickly turned wide with joy as we saw a delicatly crafted, handtossed brick oven pizza just asking to become one with our bodies - and it didn't take long for that to happen.
I write this review feeling delighted with my experience here at Kannah's, stuffed to the brim, with a 2 hour ride home as the passenger princess. If you read that entire thing, thank you, lol. I definitely recommend stopping here, it was truly good! And only a 23-minute walk to...
Read moreService in the bar was terrible. We were there on 3-29-2024 at 1:00. The bartender ignored us most of the time. He has waited on us before and he was a horrible server then too. He doesn’t care if your glass is empty, and he holds you hostage for your bill. Anyway, when we finally got him to bring us a box for our food, there was a live cockroach in it!! So gross! We couldn’t get his attention, so we flagged another person down and told her what was in the box. She was horrified. We waited for someone, maybe a manager, to come apologize at least. Nothing. Some employees at the bar drinking tried to tell us that it was “just that time of year”. Umm no, I don’t think so. When the bartender finally came over to our table, he was not apologetic at all. He said there are roaches because the server's are not cleaning the floor at night. What? What else are you all not cleaning? He said the restaurant was going to comp our food. So we sat there for another 10 minutes or more waiting for our check. Finally, we just started to leave. Then he finally decided to bring us a bill for our drinks. We just wanted to get out of there. We used to eat there all the time, but never again. We used to enjoy this place, but I would definitely recommend you stay away. It’s Cockroach season...
Read moreAbsolutely LOVED this place! Visited here on a cross country road trip with my dad and this place did not disappoint. Drove about 10 hours to the hotel, looked around for local breweries since my other "profession" is being a beer connoisseur, and decided Kannah was the place. After being in a car for that long and seeing it was right down the road from our hotel, we were sold. The beers were fantastic, and the FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!!! I ordered one of their specials at the time, a country fried steak with their homemade chowder and YES I ate it all. The vibe here was awesome, being out of town we weren't sure what to expect, but it was a great experience. The first beer I ordered they were out of and our server (I can't remember his name but he deserves a rasie) told me of what was in place of the beer I ordered, described what it was and immediately sold. For the love of beer I'll drink anything, especially any local brews. Long story short I loved the experience I had here and it was definitely the perfect stop after a 10 hour drive (and the multiple hours driven being from Pennsylvania) so I recommend stopping here if you're...
