Elbow Room Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Grand Rapids

I used to frequent the Elbow Room quite often. I loved their burgers and raved about them to many people. However, the last few times the food has been bad. And when a friend and I went there for lunch on a Friday a couple weeks ago, it was down right horrible. The bartenders were both rude & very short with us. One of them was busy doing shots with customers. We ordered our burgers medium with crispy fries. The order took forever and when it finally came out the burgers was well done and cold. We now play a game at the ER. It’s called - “What can happen now that will make this experience even more laughable than the last one”. We consistently receive bad service - it has become a routine we expect. Why do we still go? Because the drinks are great - if you can get one! Sometime getting a second drink is nearly impossible even with the bar 1/2 full. The waitstaff must make great tips because they don't even come back around. I went to The Elbow Room a few times and had an enjoyable experience so my husband and I came back for dinner. This time it took about 20 minutes for an employee to even acknowledge us. When a waitress finally did; she cleaned our table by spraying cleaner abruptly over the table which over sprayed onto my husband and I repeatedly. It was obvious by the attitude in her voice that we were putting a damper on her evening by being there for dinner on a busy night. It took another 15 minutes to get our drinks.
