It’s absolutely wild to me that people are simply reviewing this place negatively because it’s owned by the Devos family and that we should not support them but support “local”. I mean, I don’t think you can get more local than the Devos family - they quite literally built Grand Rapids. Enjoy seeing concerts and having a place to watch hockey? Enjoy having state of the art medical care and facilities? Enjoy beautiful hotels, festivals and parks? Thank you Devos family! GR wouldn’t even be a destination without the Devos’ - so thank you for taking a blighted street corner, fixing it up, employing OUR NEIGHBORS (hello people working hard for their money 👋🏽) and providing a wonderful and beautiful spot to meet with friends and enjoy coffee and gelato. Y’all say support local? Can’t imagine supporting anything more local than a place built by a family from GR and employing people who live (surprise!), locally. Thanks for a great affogato flight that I was able to enjoy while having a cousins...
Read moreFoxtail has quickly become my absolute favorite breakfast sandwiches in the city. They use Nantucket bagels. Whether you add sausage or bacon they are both good. The egg is real egg. Everything tastes fresh, locally sourced, and absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are large, and that includes their coffee sizes.
One thing I want to mention is that I ordered 6 bagel breakfast sandwiches for the groomsmen on my wedding day. I placed the order a few days ahead on their website. When I got there to pickup, they were ready on time and the staff was so friendly. They wrote hand written messages on all of the packaging with sweet wedding themed messages. And they gave us all a free cake pop and some drink coupons.
I cannot recommend this spot enough! You have to give it a try if you are a breakfast sandwich...
Read moreHello , I’ve been in this community / neighborhood for many years , and it has been nothing but joy and kindness and great people to call family . However with this new building “ Foxtail “ I was not treated kindly . The atmosphere was not welcoming at all . When I entered I wasn’t greeted or smiled upon . Wasn’t acknowledged until I got to the front and ordered ( and I started talking ) Their employees were judging you based off how you looked . Its sad to see a place that use to bring people together turn into a place that’s fake and not genuine and just want your money . Thanks Foxtail what a waste of potential in my neighborhood . I would not recommend this...
