El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Granite City

Just came there for my fiance birthday dinner on Thursday, 8/1/24, it wasn't planned or reserve but still think the service & food coulda been better especially after having 2 good experience already & by us being local residents nearby we thought it would be great but we got was bad waiters that kept thinking giving us terrible food & laughing at us with his co workers...Had birria burrito,birria 🌮, & they were terrible & wasn't even fried right & didn't have no cheese pull at all ,we also order a tower & the container the margaritas was in were filty & worn out & waiters kept laughing when we asked for a better shell & service on our birria taco cause they use corn shell & we wanted tortilla regular. Really lost alot of cool points with us & will never eat there again especially watching everyone else food coming out hot & fresh & ours were done with no care at all very racist vibes all night & we came as a party of 5 & was nothing done...

I was happy to see a restaurant in Granite City that was open on Monday and not a chain. It also gave me a place to cool off and charge my phone after a great deal of walking and exploring the town.

The waiter was very kind and helped me find an outlet to charge my phone.

The food was okay. The chips were a bit stale, and the enchilada sauce had a strange, out-of-place herb in it--basil? The shrimp quesadilla was quite tasty, and the guac was good.

The restroom walls could use a real wipe down.

Again, the server was excellent, and the price was great. I might go back and try...

Terrible place to eat. Ants all over the table. Each table we moved to. Guy got mad we complained about it. Couldn’t even eat in. Waiter was rude. Ordered to eat in and got a to go box right after cause of the ants and gnats. Food was terrible. Salsa and chips were even terrible. How does that happen? Had a margarita that ended up with dead gnats in it and the waiter didn’t want to refund me. Needless to say the manager was a sweet heart and he made things better but I’ll never eat there again. I was in town visiting and wanted Mexican and clearly picked...
