My true experience of this place, first and only time going here.

I called Tang's Christmas day, right when they opened. I placed my order at 12:30pm for 5pm pickup to avoid any headaches. I arrived at 5pm. My order was still taped to their little checkout window on the left hand side. My $100+ order for my party had never been entered or made.

I was given some lame excuse as to what happened and was asked to pay. Once I paid, I was told to wait. No discount, no sorry , no nothing. Just a "were behind and no eta for your food".... the customer service was absolutely horrible. I ended up getting my order at 5:45pm.

Funny part is I was told to bring cash when I made the order! No joke, the lady on phone TOLD ME she wanted cash. The food was bad. Just like everyone else reviewed, the fried rice tasted brutal. The protein (chicken, beef, pork) is of poor quality. Very chewy texture with little to no flavor. It was also obvious my order was rushed and made on the fly. The biggest waste of over $100. I will not be going back here and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone after the horrible experience I had.

Lesson learned I guess, sticking to Hong Kong Chop Suey in Mundelein... they treat you nicely and run a good business.

I will say the reviews let me down. Normally I go to chopstix but I wanted to give this place a try. I ordered the shrimp egg foo young lunch special. Let’s start with the rice it says fried rice but never in my 36 years of life have I ever had fried rice with chunks of chicken breast in it the taste was horrible. I mean maybe I should have assumed because the rice was still white as opposed to brown looking that it was going to be bad however I remained optimistic… Now they put the food all in one container so the gravy for the one yes only one shrimp egg foo young patty was all over the rice and the egg roll. Very nice ppl but I will never order from there again. If I wanted a gravy egg roll I would have asked for...

I forgot to read the reviews and check things out ahead of time, but I was hungry and ordered off of Doordash Thursday night (9/28/2023). Long story short, their chicken fried rice tasted very rancid and so did all other chicken related orders I got that night. It's October 1st at 3 AM, and I'm still suffering from food poisoning. I'm pretty sure I got from this place. This food would make uncle Rodger cry. I'm not mad though despite all the liquid rage coming out of me most places like this have all gone down hill really I just want this review to also reiterate what others are saying and that is you're not getting the best quality out of here...
