Mizumi Sushi & Steak — Restaurant in Great Bend

They have a beautifully produced menu/flyer, at least half of which is dedicated to sashimi & sushi entrees, special rolls & a'la carte offerings. I would call in my take-out order from across the street while walking my dog around Barton County Court/Jack Kilby Square park. Then I'd leave him leashed to a park bench right across the street from their door while I ran in to pick up my order which was always ready w/in 10 minutes of my call-in (even during lunch with full seating), always beautifully & thoroughly packaged by a smiling, friendly server who handled my payment quickly & w/o incident (& at a very reasonable price too) providing a neatly printed receipt, take-out menu (including coupon for 10% off order) pkgs of soy sauce, wasabi & pickled ginger, chopsticks & napkins. Very happy to see seaweed salad on the menu as well...I love it so much & don't often get a chance to indulge. Ordered Tempura shrimp & vegetables a few times as well which everyone enjoyed. Can't believe this town could support this type of restaurant for as long as they've been open. Please, everyone, eat there sooner than later (if you have a taste for great sushi & seaweed salad) so I don't lose my sushi fix only 2 short blocks...

So I had lunch today here for my first time ever being here. I had the chicken hibachi with fried rice. And my boyfriend had the filet mignon and salmon hibachi. We also ordered two sushi rolls the Paradise roll and the Fire Cake roll.

So for the sushi it was delicious and fresh not fishy at all. Would HIGHLY recommend.

The chicken teriyaki was also perfect. Loved the fried rice and their yum yum sauce!! The vegetables that came with it were perfectly cooked and flavored. Even my boyfriend liked his vegetables and at most places he won’t touch them.

Now I will say for the filet it either isn’t a true cut of filet or a very cheap cut. It still tasted okay but not filet good. It was also over cooked to our liking. I will be trying again since sometimes it’s hit or miss with some steaks. The salmon was delicious as well.

There was a longer wait for our food, however worth the wait. And it’s a bit warm in the restaurant.

I went to this place to buy sushi and sashimi and I was overwhelmed with the food they have they are awesome awesome awesome people the food is extremely delicious and the price is very reasonable they are so courteous they would carry the food for you to your vehicle and open the door for you these people are really nice I have read somebody’s review of this place that was so horrible I decided I want to go try this place and see if that is the truth and I am so sorry that that person had that bad of an experience I don’t have any such experience whatsoever and I am sorry that they put that kind of review for everybody to read because I almost didn’t go Try it except my son insisted I should go and he was right And by the way the place is clean they follow all Covid precautions.
