Great Bend Brit Spaugh Zoo — Attraction in Great Bend

Today was an incredible day. I had the pleasure of attending this very fine zoo here in Great Bend, Kansas. To say I had a great time would be an understatement. The great amount of education I received about the different animals that reside in this zoo was incredible, the variety of species and seeing where they come from made me enjoy the process of walking through this amazing zoo so much. Had high expectations but was let down. Came to visit some family and we all came here pretty early. We were greeted by a wonderful young women at the desk but almost as quick as the great greeting we were being berated by some women taking care of the snakes, who was screaming at all the children in there not to put a finger on any of the double paned glass windows. We spent a beautiful fall day here while resting in between jobs. The entrance is free. They have a nice little souvenir shop on the entrance building. The Zoo is nice and pleasant to walk through it. We enjoyed seeing the animals. It was clean and my daughter loved the chickens with “sweaters “. I enjoyed the lemurs and duck pond. It’s a nice little zoo, worth stopping at while driving through Great Bend. It took us about an hour to see the whole Zoo and my daughter played in the play area for another 30 minutes. Stop by and...
