Walked in to SMALL restaurant not crowded by many people, but crowded by so much stuff..seemed a bit unorganized....first thought was that they are teying to be an instagram friendly photo location as EVERY square inch of wall space was covered in tacky, BRANDED, things for that "photo" op.
Now the menu....huge....lots of fish...which scared me....such a small place that tries to server fresh fish in a land locked state needs to be busy....we arrived at 6pm on a Thursday to 2 tables leaving then we were by ourselves for the rest of the evening.
The menu also seemed very confused....I understand "fushion" but it needs to work well together....
The server was very helpful on recommendations....we ended up ordering 2 things to share....first...the stuffed "Thai peppers"....
These were hands down the best dish we ordered...a bit over stuffed with the cream cheese mixture as when they arrived the outside was so hot (temp), yet the middle was hardly warm. The flavor was really good and we would recomend.
Next we ordered one of the house special "BOMBS"...it had a bacon sauce/cheese or something on top (good), and theinside had a bit of everything....chicken, steak, shrimp, sushi rice, nori, and again a huge bit of cream cheese...
The amount of rice on this bomb was overwhelming...and once again, because of the size and stuffing, the middle, especially the cre cheese wasn't even warm. This did look Instagram Impressive, but that was it....there were so many flavors, it tasted confused, and was just a mess to eat.
If you are an instagram influencer, you might get a ton of "likes" on your photos from this place, but your followers won't be able to taste your photos.....
We unfortunately wint be back to support this Greeley local establishment....We do wish it well though as that location seems too be cursed by having quit a few other failed...
Read moreWe’ve visited Ta Culichi twice, and each time was exceptional! On our first visit, we tried the ceviche, Plebes sushi, camarones gobernadores, and chiles Thai—every dish was bursting with flavor and authenticity. The ceviche was fresh and tangy, the camarones gobernadores were perfectly cooked, and the sushi had an amazing balance of spice and texture. The chiles Thai added a great kick that tied the whole meal together.
During our second visit, we ordered the fried rice with shrimp, El Chacaloso sushi, and La Campechana. The fried rice was packed with shrimp and full of flavor, while the sushi rolls were as delicious as before. La Campechana was a standout dish, with a delightful mix of seafood and a fresh, citrusy kick.
To top it off, they catered for 30 people for my birthday on short notice, and the food was a hit with everyone! The family-oriented business truly shines with their hospitality and commitment to quality. Ta Culichi is hands down our favorite spot in Greeley for authentic Sinaloan cuisine and sushi with a twist. Highly...
Read moreOMG! First time here. The atmosphere was like you were invited to a Mexican wedding. Went for the Mexican Sushi, didn't even know there was such a thing. Went for my birthday. We sat outside in the patio, a table nearby was singing along to the broadcasted TV and they were handed a mic, so they could be heard. I ordered the Sinolense. It was a sushi roll, about twice the diameter of any other sushi I'd ever had and filled the plate! It was stuffed with beef, chicken and shrimp. Topped with cheese, green onion and sauces. I ended up taking it home. Since it was my birthday, I got a slice of four layer chocolate cake, on the house. Everybody sang to me and on the TV there were Happy Birthday GIFS. My son ordered the Dragon Roll. That was stuffed with shrimp and imitation crab and it was topped with cheese, chipotle sauce, three large shrimp and eel sauce. Awesome as well. Can't wait to go back and try something else. Highly recommend TA CULICHI. Fun and a family...
