we order food all the time from Mcclures in Gallipolis at work. Never have any issues. Well today i ordered chicken tenders and fries, just a small light lunch. total came to $9.00, not complaining about the price, but when i got to work and bit into the first tender it was just freezer burnt and chewy not at all good, so i tossed that one in the trash and tried another one, same problem. So i called nicley told them and requested to switch out the tenders for a burger, bagged up the unfinished chicken and drove up there. the girl at the window requested the chicken tenders which i gave her (Although most places would prefer you just throw it away due to past covid issues) but whatever. She came back to the window and handed me a bag with the burger, and i mentioned there was a price difference. She rudly said "i never said there was a price difference", i said but there is a price difference, my original price was $9.00 and she proceedes to say, "well you ate half" No maam i threw it in the trash! So i confirmed to her that was how they were going to do things before i write a review and she slammed the slide glass door in my face. I will never eat at this place again! If that is how you treat a loyal customer?! No thank you! As someone who works in the food industry as well, i would NEVER treat a customer like that. Ever. I could understand if i was being rude, but i was quite friendly with a smile. Save your money folks, because if something isn't good, they don't care, and will steal your money. And if they said i ate half (wich i didn't) then they should have gave me half my money...
Read moreWe were told at the counter the food is all home made. However the food is frozen chicken patties, bagged fries and cheap chili. The place is very clean. I just wish they would put as much effort into their food as they do their cleanliness. We were told fries come with the burgers when we asked. Our food was served and no fries. Apparently the girl was wrong and said no fries after serving.
We spent $50 dollars on a meal. 1 small dorito bag taco in a bag - No flavor to the meat and my wife couldnt finish bc it was gross. 1 cheese curd - wreaked of oil and cheap bag curds. Again didnt finish it. 1 order of chili cheese fries - horrible, fair food tastes better, not even my 10 year old would touch them. 1 cheesburger at almost 7 dollars - no flavor and no fries. Literally just an overcooked burger. 2 Billy burgers -oil drenched frozen chicken patties and burnt unspiced beef patty on bread so thin it was soggy on the bottom. I forced my burger down bc I refused to waste 50 dollars.
I would never eat here again.
For the price Id rather eat at a big chain that can properly cook meat and knows what garlic is.
Staff was nice, dining room and bathrooms were clean. That about...
Read moreThis seemed like a cute small town restaurant with a lovely atmosphere but the prices hurt for the type/quality of food you get. It shouldn’t cost $75 for a family to eat here. All of the food is frozen and just quickly fried or put together, and the hamburgers are mostly fillers with very small patties. The employees are all kids, too. I was definitely expecting better for the first time eating here.
Adding to the owners response, their age does matter when they act and carry themselves poorly at work. If they were paid what is claimed, I doubt they’d act as if they hated their lives at work. Not to mention just poor...
