First Wok — Restaurant in Greenacres

I’ve been patronizing this restaurant for years, for lunch and dinner. A few weeks ago I took out garlic shrimp that I ordered mild. I’ve had it many times before and thought it was good. It always came with 4 shrimp. This time, I open it up at home and find only 3 shrimp. I thought that maybe they cut back, considering the cost of food these days. The dinner was made with hot pepper, not mild like I ordered it. My throat and lips were buzzing, but it was getting late and I was hungry and didn’t want to drive back and wait while they remade my food. I went back a few weeks later for lunch, and asked the young man who is always there taking orders, and who has seen me many times before, if they cut the shrimp to 3 from 4, and that my last order only had 3. His reply was that they always give 4. I repeated that I only got 3, and could I have 5 this time to make it up. He kept saying “they always give 4.” I asked him if he thought I was a liar then over 1 shrimp, and wasn’t it possible that in a hurry the cook could have left 1 shrimp off. No, they always give 4. I then tried to tell him how hot the food was after I ordered it mild, but he walked away from me while I was talking. That did it. How disrespectful and unprofessional. I will never go back to First Wok, and will tell my story to friends and neighbors. What a poor business man to lose a long time customer...

I went to Wongs for decades until they closed this year. First Wok was closer but not as good when we tried them after they opened a decade ago. At first Wok the issues starts with the staff. Rude and not customer helpful. Especially the lady. My last take out 9/13/19 she tried to up sell me to dinner combination meal even though I called at 2, and hour before 3 pm lunch combo cut off. Sounded upset I wanted the lunch combo. Picking up the food I asked the young man for a prepared hot mustard for the egg roll and he said they are out, even though I could see the little cups of it on the bottom of the glass door cooler. This time the food smelled old and was not tasty. I ate maybe 25%. Within 3 hrs I had the runs and stomachache is upset. Still have abdominal issues now 1-1/2 days later. Don’t deal with First Wok. Other better places...

I've been getting food here at least a couple of times a month for the past 7 years. It is probably one of the best spots around, and after the whole inflation, the prices went up about 30% in general, but it is ok because i know every little business out there is struggling.

Now the problem is that in the past couple of months, not only more expensive, but they are trying to trick you with the food . Paying almost double for half the Chiken wings you use to get, beef and broccoli is literally 70% broccoli and the rest beef, so is the pepper steak I got today.

I want to keep supporting this place, and I would rather pay $12 for a lunch special with the right proportions than $9 for 65% rice 25% peppers and 15% meat.

Bring prices up, but keep the proportions and quality the same, and true customers would still...
