I am a great Sai devotee and used to be a regular to the temple. This review is more about the food and we are nobody to rate god lol..:
There is great opportunity to build a nice community: I recently went to the for lauderdale shiva Vishnu temple and was mind blown with the food quality in their temple. Later went to the ayyapan temple in Tampa and was even more blown away by the beautiful community they built; the events here are beautiful and very incredible but, the quality of food here is very mediocre and they served during the last festival in a spoon and even we along with our 5 year old daughter came back home hungry and had dinner again: wish the trustees visited the other two temple to incorporate best practices:
I heard the people who operate the canteen are from Tamilnadu the same place where a2b and Sangeetha exists . They should know by now that what they serve is mediocre and not live in denial
Editing this comment a little to give more context. I came today for diwali just to give this team a benefit of doubt and im attaching a picture of bow they served the prasad today. Pickle kesari chapathi , quarter applam, fruit salad etc? Seriously ? I would like to sponsor a bigger plate for next Diwali. Please let me know . Couldn’t even eat out of it. Saw so many people complain but I’m sure they wouldn’t come here to...
Read moreBeautiful Temple and Serene atmosphere. The back yard is loaded with lots of fruit trees and flowering bushes. Little difficult to find using Google Map. I ended up going round and round and gave up initially. Easy way to access the street is through Lake Worth Road, just west of military Trail. One block from that intersection. On Saturdays they offer canteen- style food, largely South Indian. Little on the funky side, but if you have patience it will be a wonderful experience! Little on the expensive side. Wish they sell some plants and even fruits. Very friendly staff. The congregation could be friendly. The temple accommodate followers of both Lord Shiva and Vishnu. That is very nice. The priest is very pleasant. I will certainly go back...
Read moreIt is a very clean temple, with volunteers who take opportunities to work around the temple. I remember once seeing a volunteer, using a leaf blower in the hot Florida Summer clean the temple grounds. Similarly, volunteers work tirelessly in the kitchens as well. Yet, there always remains a sense of detachment from Baba when I am in the temple. In our Sai temple in Northborough, MA, we are allowed to pray by waiving chamars (fans) and playing musical instruments (chiplis, bells and daphli). I wish they gave us a chance to at least wave the fans in front of Baba's statue during Aarti instead of keeping it on the moorti's sides, as this was the way Aarti was done in Dwarkamai per Sai...
