We were very excited to try their breakfast after hearing so much good about the place. Our experience ended up being extremely negative. When we arrived on a Saturday morning the place was jam packed, which was promising to us- where there's people there's good food. We got on the waiting list and observed a 'Larry' being called 4 times before moving to the next name (over the course of 10+ minutes). After an hour of waiting I went to ask in for the second time what was the situation and was told our we had been called twice and and they had moved along. 5 names under us had already been crossed and another 4 were written. I asked how was it possible as our party had been closest to the door at all times, 3 feet, and none of us heard - how was it possible.
We even observed some customers being retrieved from behind the corner.
I added my name again on the list and next time she came to call a name i asked her politely 'excuse me, mam, do you know how long the wait is. I asked this twice point blank and she looked me into eyes and turned and marched in. A member from my party saw this take place and thought she just didn't hear me and went in to ask. He repeated the question and the response was utterly rude- the woman who we perceived to be the owner- started yelling at him, that she had called us and had a witness and we should just wait in line. And he only asked how long the wait was..
The correct thing would've been to give us the next available table, not yell to our faces.
The owner kept taking regulars between, literally when they'd drive up she'd come and greet them at their car and say she'd at them to the list and 'have a table right up'.
To us it seemed like they had no interest in new customers and were willing to be downright rude to get rid of us.
The place was tiny, untidy and uninviting. On the wall it said their fire regulation allowed them to seat 45 people and the car count alone in their parking exceeded that.
I cannot recommend this place to anyone. After working in customer service for 30+ year, I have never had this rude treatement in America. I would give 0 stars if it...
Read moreAlthough I have been to this restaurant many times before it has always been good except for the prices; today however was a different story. Upon entering the restaurant my girlfriend and I were greeted by a server who said we can sit wherever we would like. We then sat in the corner booth to the right, immediately after which we were told by another server that booth was reserved.( but there was no sign stating that) At that point I would have walked out if it was not for my girlfriend. Soon after us relocating to another table I noticed one guy sit there in that booth that can hold 6 people and he was there throughout our whole breakfast. It makes no sense. The little round table over to the left or the bar area would be great places for one person. And if you can't tell I was very annoyed with this throughout my whole breakfast. To make matters worse they had no big breakfast offerings. You would have to add items to your breakfast to make it a big breakfast which gets very expensive very quickly. Then to top it off; my pancakes looked smelled and tasted burnt. And yet soon after we arrived the place got packed. I guess the owner and the customers that go there don't know about Pete's Place, Gun Club Cafe or Tom Sawyer's; all of which give you way more and quality food for way less money. I now have my favorite 3 for breakfast Sadly....... Country Inn just...
Read moreWe took our mother to Country Inn restaurant for her birthday and we had such an amazing time. Inside was such a cozy atmosphere and they had plenty of tables outside which was also a beautiful setting. The staff was probably the best staff that I've ever come across when eating out. Everyone was so kind and so attentive to us. They were all so great. Breanna our waitress was amazing, she was so friendly and made us feel so welcome and very attentive to our needs. The food was FANTASTIC! My mother had eggs benedict and she loved it! I had four whole scrambled eggs and the best pork sausage links. And my sister really loved her meal!
At the end I asked our waitress Breanna if they could sing my mom happy birthday and while they normally didn't do that, they were willing to do it for us. I got my mom a slice of confetti cake and they got a candle and Breanna and the staff came back out with the cake and sang my mom happy birthday and lit the candle for her to make a wish. They really made her feel special and for that, my sister and I were really grateful to them! And let me tell you...that confetti cake was quite literally the BEST cake I've ever tasted haha!! Overall, I highly highly recommend Country Inn and we'll definitely be eating there again! Great food, great staff, great service, and great atmosphere!! Thanks again...
