Dairy Castle — Restaurant in Greencastle

The staff was extremely rude to us in the drive thru. We ordered hot food & ice cream products. First they gave us some of the ice cream products, then the wrong hot food. Now they needed to make our food. Meanwhile, we have a cup of ice cream & an ice cream cone melting in the car while we are waiting on the hot food. Finally we get our hot food but don’t have our two shakes. They need to make them. We asked how long because our cone & cup of ice cream are melting. They said 2 mins. We said, “our ice cream is melting.” They yell at us & we tell them they should have given us the hot food before they gave us the ice cream. They go get another ice cream cone & practically throw it out the window at us, they yell at us again & said this happens when you order both hot & cold items. The lady (thought it was a manager) yells…this is the way it works…I worked at Dairy Queen. Probably why she now works at Dairy Castle. The service is terrible & food not as good as it once was. I would avoid this place…maybe try Dairy Queen…she’s no...

This is the 3rd time weve come here in a week and its terrible every single time. Weather a long line, no line...doesnt matter. Its full of mostly kids and a rude adult everytime.....the wait is suddenly insane.....and we come here every year, several times. I dont think well be coming back this year. 6 cars ahead of us and we waited 40 minutes before we got to order ....then when we did finally order- the kids were amazing! Great attitudes and happy faces! HOWEVER!!! they are NOT learning their customer service skills from the adults bc the adults-- EVERY SINGLE TIME-- are soooo rude!!!! Like the kind of people who shouldnt work with the public. BC they dont like PEOPLE!!!????

If i could rate zero stars out of 5, I would.

This place was the best restraunt / icecream parlor ive been to since I was a child.

They had good food, so many choices of icecream to choose from.

And the portions were monumental.

Ever since that new owner bought this legendary place out, the business here has been ruined.

You are not allowed to dine in anymore. Now you have to dine outside or in your vehicle.

I saw the inside of the window, and they have stock strung out all over the building. So the area you used to dine in now is nothing but a big mess for supplies.

How dare they ruin my favorite joint.

And the icecream sucks. Its cheaply done, using cheaper supplies, sold at a higher price.

CHEAPSKATES!

If it aint broke, DONT FIX IT!
