This place was so far beyond reparable that I can only offer a critique of what passes as good food in the midwestern United States, in general. Apparently, it’s ok to sit in the heart of farm and agriculture country in the United States, but still not purchase or prepare anything fresh. There wasn’t a single item on the menu that didn’t come out of a can, or frozen from a box. I remember better meals from my high school cafeteria. Just ask any of the employees if “you make your own,” and you’ll get a sad shake of the head. The chicken and waffles featured three previously frozen “chicken tenders” that were greasy and soggy, and a waffle cooked from frozen batter that was 90 percent sugar. The corned beef is from a can that you could buy for 50 cents at your local Aldi. The previously prepared hash browns tasted like greasy cardboard, which is expected when they have been frozen for a year and traveled two thousand miles before being prepared.
Until people start being honest about the state of food in this part of the country, things are never...
Read moreThe food is always great but when you get a to go specialty omelette for a 3rd Saturday in a row, spending $12 and not getting hashbrowns with it is kinda annoying. Omelette is great but not $12 great and we always tip good. I usually get a large oatmeal $5. And I get a side....again good but not $5 good. Same thing with husband's omelette, $12 and no hasbrowns for the 3rd time. And no I shouldn't have to check my food before I leave. Someone should be doing there job right. I wasn't gonna drive back into town either (living 10 min away) to get a side of hashbrowns for my husband and I. So whoever the cook is please make sure that you put hashbrowns with the omelettes and stop skimping on the oatmeal. Your food is already expensive enough. I probably just won't tip anymore or take my business elsewhere I guess. But just letting everyone know that this happens and hopefully will...
Read moreI’ve been here twice and both times were great! They’re a typical breakfast place so expect all the standard fare, but it’s done well! It’s also super inexpensive- I’m pretty sure I’ve had a Starbucks drink that cost more than my meal here haha.
Gotta recommend their omelettes! Perfectly cooked and loaded up with their add ins. Their pancakes are also perfect.
I am a “eat and gtfo” and the servers do seem to hold you hostage while you wait for the check, but that’s a minor thing. Otherwise excellent service to go with...
