To the reviewer that said "Best Mexican Food in Town"... it's kind of hard to contest when it's the only cuisine like it in town.
My family and I are regular diners of Mexican restaurants... We've been to Mexico and experienced authentic mexican cuisine, known many mexican chefs and frequented many different mexican restaurants... THIS PLACE IS A HORRIBLE EXCUSE FOR MEXICAN FOOD
The chips and salsa were cheap and disgusting and the Queso was horrible. I ordered a large dish to sample many of the foods for our first visit. Literally took one bite of each and spit two of the three bites out. The insides of the tamale and enchiladas were black mush. The food tasted as if it had been frozen/thawed/frozen/thawed/cooked numerous times over the past 6 months..... I nearly became sick at the sight and smell. Some soured brown sauce was slopping around the plate, unrecognizable. Almost an entire meal from a family of four was left on the table when we asked for the check. Service was pathetic. Food was poisonous at best.
Do yourself a favor, visit Fiesta Ranchera on the south side of Indy... then go back to this place. You'll never eat here again. Eat at your own risk... unless you have an iron stomach, you're asking...
Read moreI've had multiple friends tell me how great this place was...so I stopped in for the very first time last week. I was underwhelmed.
As I mentioned it was my very first time there....and the waiter had absolutely no patience. I was looking over the menu debating on what to get. The waiter stopped by the table at least 4-5 times in less than 5 minutes. Every time I told him I needed a bit more time, he sighed angrily.
I placed my order and he brought out chips and salsa. The salsa was extremely watered down. I prefer more of a chunky salsa...this was like salsa soup.
After rushing through the menu, I just decided to go with 3 chicken tacos. What a disappointment. Tacos had very little chicken and were piled high with lettuce. Not one shred of cheese.
Pretty disappointing first visit. Very impatient waiter. Watered down salsa. Tons of lettuce on the tacos, very little chicken, and no cheese. But, what can I expect from an "authentic Mexican restaurant" in Greencastle, IN? I might give them 1 more shot...or...
Read moreRice and Bean portions are barely a commercial spoon size been that way for a couple of years that's really rediculous. The salsa was the worst ever, it was very watered down, what a cheap way to rip their customers off, prices are competitive to other Mexican Restaurants in surrounding counties, but this kind of tactics with the extra small portions and watery salsa is going to run their regular customers to Cloverdale and Plainfield where the food is far more superior to Casa Grande. Convenience Yes, Quality No. Most of the entrees are good, I just can't get past the lack of portion size on the rice and beans, and the...
