If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. I don't often leave reviews, but i felt compelled tonight. I have never, in my life, been treated with such disrespect at a restaurant. The Subway next to the Speedway in Lancaster hit a new low for us tonight. Our family placed an online order at the same time as a family who is visiting with us placed theirs. We placed two separate orders and paid with two separate payment methods, as people do. There was a total of 6 sandwiches between the two separate orders, so nothing outrageous. We sent one person to go pick up both orders, rather than several different family members piling into the car to trek out in a snowstorm for some sandwiches. Upon arrival, we used the app to let them know we were there for our curbside order pickup but no one came out. After waiting about 10-15 minutes, we decided we had better go inside to see what the hold up was on our order. Inside, we were greeted by an absolutely rude young worker who admonished our designated pick up person for cheating the system. She stated that we were not "allowed" to order more than 5 sandwiches in total and Subway's rule says that one person cannot pick up more than one order. I'm not sure where this unwritten rule is advertised, but it certainly isn't obvious anywhere that we can find. We certainly weren't trying to pull any fast ones with our local subway restaurant. She told us that "the next time we tried to pull this she would refuse our order." The sandwiches had now been sitting on a shelf for over 30 minutes and, had we not gone inside, would have remained there because this employee clearly had no intention of bringing them out. Upon checking the two separate orders, it was then discovered that several things were missing from our order. Our designated pick up person went back inside to discuss this and the girl insinuated that we must be lying. She was "sure she put all of that into the bag." She had not. It took three separate trips into the store to collect our order. By the time we went in for the third time, the worker chose to retreat to the back of the store and not return at all. Imagine our confusion over the whole visit? Curbside pick up means curbside pick up. It should not be advertised as such if you are expected to go inside to retrieve your order. Limitations on who can pick up orders for their friends/family makes absolutely zero sense. Regardless, the tone of the conversation from our end remained cool, but we sure intended to call and get the name of a supervisor to speak with later. Unsurprisingly, the same employer is who answered the phone and we were met with more of the same disrespect. When I asked her to make sense of her request that all six of the sandwich requesters show up to order rather than ordering online and one person picking them up, she could not. She just dug her heels in. Why would it be any different if all 6 people were standing in front of her? Would there be less sandwich requests that way? It just makes no sense. I hope that she was just having a bad day, but, whew, she sure ruined ours, too. We just wanted some tasty sandwiches. We had no idea they would come with such horrendous attitude. This idea we had for a quick meal was, overall, an hour ordeal to pick up food from a restaurant that is 5 minutes from our house. Our request for fresh sandwiches resulted in cold and soggy representations of what is pictured and certainly was not worth the $60-70 we all paid for it. In the future, should we decide we ever want to entertain risking a subway order again, we will go the extra half a mile to the subway inside Walmart. At this point, that is not particularly appetizing, either. This experience was just ridiculous. It sounds as stupid as it felt.

I would recommend never coming here as a former employee. There is mold in the soda machine and the restrooms do not consistently get cleaned except when I was there. They don't consistently make sure there is enough supplies to make it thru the week let alone cleaning supplies for things such as the restrooms and the restaurant doesn't always get cleaned at night.

Went to order a sub, guess what? No body there literally!!! Called if there was someone inside, nothing!!!, stayed there for about 10 min screaming for somebody, still nothing, had to leave, some other customers came in and probably experienced the same.

Went in at about 2:45 was told by crew member that we have to wait 15 mins so he can do bread. Horrible customer service. So I decided to wait. Went to find a chair and table to sit at and every one had food on top of them and the floor was sticky. My friend started his order and was interrupted by the guy making his sub to have my friend get in the cooler behind him to fetch a drink. This guy was unbelievable. Took a long time putting on gloves that were to small and they busted. Instead of replacing them he continued to make subs touching his glasses, beard, unsanitary counter and the top of the toaster oven. A group of girls came in after our subs were made he grunted and said he was closing the store for about 10 so he could catch up. Everything about this store looked gross and would not recommend anyone to eat at. Sub was under toasted and diet...

So I ordered 2 items. 2 employees working (one experienced and one in training). As the experienced worker is making item 1 the trainee sneezes. She sneezed into her elbow, which is preferred, but now I'm a little skeeved out. I intently watch her to make sure she doesn't touch my food (which she didn't). The trainer had her go to the register while she made item 2. As she's making item 2 the trainee at the register sneezes again! This time a 5" long snot string is hanging from her nose, and she just stands there 🤢. Again, she never touched my food so I wasn't concerned about getting sick, but c'mon, that can't be happening on a food service line. We all sneeze but in that environment you need to walk away...
