I go to Leo's at least 4 times a month and I have since they opened. It is right across the street from my work. My husband will drive out of his way to go there for the fountain drinks. They are the BEST for that. I enjoy the build your own bowls with the quinoa and greens. I cant eat kolaches due to gluten allergy but they smell very good. Here are a few takeaways since I have been to Leo's: the drinks (latte's /machiattos) are really good depending on who makes them. Sometimes I have dumped them out. Sometimes I think "This is so much better than that OTHER chain". Bring back the Blood Orange slushy. I got everyone on that and it was a crowd pleaser. PLEASE PLEASE lower the salt content of your soups, chicken salad, potato salad. The last items I have ordered have been so over salted that it is nearly inedible unless I build my own bowl with greens etc. The only soup that wasn't over-salted was the French Onion which is amazing (not salty) and therefore I've ordered it 3 times in 2 weeks. The salt is overwhelming. The chef needs to be made aware. They are not shy on seasonings which is wonderful. The food is never bland. But the salt is a major turn off and it does impose health risks. They have a wonderful little grocery selection with some surprisingly awesome finds! They have a nice deli case with takeaway items as well. All in all, I highly recommend trying it out. There is something for everyone. Very tasty brownies (according...
Read moreSo I traveled a bit further than normal today for lunch. A co-worker had been raving about their Kolachs. So I ordered three, well, plainly put, I'm a glutton. 😊 Philly steak, meat lovers pizza, and chicken bacon ranch. The bread was awesome. However, the fillings were very dry, aside from the Philly, which also happened to be my favorite. The meat-lovers pizzA Kolach was terribly dry & To my surprise, no sauce or cheese inside. I don't recommend this one. The chicken & bacon ranch was, "okay". It was dry but maintained a decent taste. Another coworker indulged for the same reason and, well, I can't publish what he had to say about them. It wouldn't be prudent. 😆 Needles to say, he won't get them again either. I'm pretty disappointed but left with the mindset that I would give them one more chance. The polish sausage and jalapeno will be on my list for round 2 along with the breakfast versions. 😋 I'm a bit easier to please than the average foodie. The dining area tables were dirty and unkept. There was a lot of trash on tables that had not been wiped down. The young lady behind the counter was very pleasant and easy on the eyes. With all due respect, I loved her nose ring and smile. Finding deli employees who can keep a positive attitude after 2pm is rare these days. Give it a try! Just steer clear of the...
Read moreUpdate: We have been extremely impressed with the response we received from Leo's regarding our complaint. Rorye reached out immediately to let us know they are working on the issue, and offered us a complimentary replacement lunch. We haven't been able to return yet, but we anticipate having a good experience at Leo's in the near future,
We both ordered the custom bowls, but unfortunately the quinoa being served was raw and unsprouted. It was the equivalent of birdseed at that point. I pointed it out to a staff member who said the guy in the kitchen would look into it. Not exactly the take action response I'd hoped for. I'm sorry we didn't ask for a refund, and that none was offered. We'll be back but would really urge Leo's to cook quinoa...
