If you’re looking for the best deli in Greensboro, Jam’s Deli is the place to be! For 36 years, this local favorite has been serving up fresh sandwiches, homemade sides, and friendly service that keeps customers coming back. What makes Jam’s Deli stand out is the quality and consistency. Their sandwiches are always packed with flavor and made to order, from the classic turkey and Swiss to their signature subs. The bread is fresh, the ingredients are top-notch, and you can really taste the care that goes into every bite. Jam’s Deli isn’t just about great food—it’s about community. For more than three decades, they’ve been a staple in Greensboro, bringing people together over lunch breaks, family meals, and quick stops for a bite on the go. The staff is warm and welcoming, and you can feel the pride they take in keeping this tradition alive for 36 years strong. If you haven’t tried Jam’s Deli yet, now is the perfect time to stop by and celebrate their 36th anniversary. Whether you’re craving a hearty sandwich, a fresh salad, or just a quick and tasty lunch, Jam’s Deli is the spot. Here’s to many more years of serving the community!

Jams is the definition of a deli. From the second you set foot on their black and white checkered floors and see the classic diner tables and chairs you know you're in for some good food. Their sandwiches are absolutely amazing. My wife used to eat at Jams growing up and we visited when we returned to North Carolina. I think it goes without saying our visit did not disappoint. It was as my wife remembered and I loved it! I ordered the hot Italian sandwich and it was delicious. Loads of meat, cheese, and my favorite part as the addition of the banana peppers. The bread was fantastic as well. The Reuben is very good, but sloppy (which is the sign of a good Reuben). I normally don't get excited about fries/chips but theirs were awesome. They're thicker than a potato chip but not your typically french fry. They are fried perfectly. The outside is nice and crispy and the inside was soft and warm. I haven't experienced this type of fry/chip anywhere. The service is great. The staff is friendly and welcoming when you enter. Prices are fair for the amount of food you get. I'll definitely be back to Jams when we visit North Carolina again.

I visited this Jams location which is right at the intersection of W. Friendly Ave and Guilford College Rd. This first location opened in 1988 has been quite the landmark in that area. The sandwiches are just absolutely amazing. High quality ingredients used in the sandwiches sets it apart from the competition. Their signature curly fries complement the sandwiches pretty well. The packaging of the product is very impressive. Jams Deli has a very retro ambience and takes you back in time. This location is super clean and being right opposite Guilford College attracts a lot of the younger college going crowd. Parking is very limited however there is additional parking at the surrounding businesses. It is located in the Quaker Village shopping area where the new neighbourhood Walmart has opened. You walk up to the counter to place your order and seat yourself. Your order gets called out and once finished, you need to dispose off the trash for the next guest. So pretty much self service. It is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while and would be bringing family and friends over for sure.

This restaurant has mold and is not cleaned properly. Food is subpar and not seasoned well, tastes like cheap ingredients for around $10-15/person.

My wife and I have been here twice so far, the first time we went it wasn’t as bad as it is now but it was also 2-3 months ago since we had been last. From our experience today, we will not be coming back.

To start off, the soda machine is MOLDY, the drinks do not taste right, and the sweat tea is thick and tasted like sugary mop water. I should have checked the tea dispenser faucet before drinking but I was just hoping for the best. The window seat we had sat at was not cleaned properly, the tables were streaky and still had sticky spots; the windows were dusty and had dead bugs, the white flooring is black in some spots because of how dirty it is. As soon as we walked in it smelled a lot greasier than it did the last time as well.

I ordered the grilled pimento cheese blt and it was not flavorful at all. The bread and curly fries were the only good parts about it. The pimento cheese was mainly mayo with no seasoning, and the bacon tasted like cooked cardboard with a little bit of liquid smoke on it for some “bacon” flavor. I had a cup of Mr Pibb and it did not taste right, it had a slight mildew flavor.

I hope the owners take my review seriously because the drink dispensers and eating areas are a HEALTH SAFETY HAZARD. I will be contacting a...

Terrible service. The OWNER of the store was VERY rude to me and my son for no reason at all. First off, the owner was EXTREMELY high. He reeked of weed and me and my son both noticed it almost immediately (fyi there is a dispensary next door). This was our first time here and he was taking orders at the front. I walked up because we were confused as to where the trash was, and his tone was very disrespectful from the beginning. I asked him, and he replied with a sassy look and just pointed to the direction of the area of where I was supposed to put my trash and took a deep sigh without saying a word. I then proceeded to walk over and put my tray where he pointed, and then he went up to where I had put my tray and did it for me because I put it in the wrong area. He started throwing the trash into the correct bin very aggressively and kept staring me down while doing it. He then took another deep sigh and pointed to the sigh and said “food”, “trash” as if he was trying to mock me and my son. I don’t understand why he couldn’t have just used his words and told me that it was the wrong place instead of blowing it out of proportion and being disrespectful. Do not come here if you want good service and like a positive environment. Terrible I will not...
