I stopped in at Spring Garden bakery to get my all time favorite muffin - the vegan pumpkin chocolate chip muffin. I get the vegan one because it’s so moist and to me it’s better than the regular one! I also picked up a morning glory muffin and a few cookies. The morning glory muffin is excellent and I loved the shredded carrots in there. It tastes homemade and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The chocolate chip cookie was just average, nothing special but it wasn’t bad. The peanut butter cookie was great. The location is easy to access from the back parking lot, you just walk in at the rear of the building. The staff is friendly and pleasant. I discovered they have buy one get one free muffins on Friday so I will definitely be paying a visit again soon! Oh and FYI around the holiday season, they have THE BEST fruit cake! It doesn’t have all that artificial coloring stuff in it, it’s very pure and natural, we love it!

Just moved back to the area and have been looking for a coffee shop to frequent when visiting for the past 5 years leading up to the move. So far Spring Garden Bakery & Coffee has the 2nd best cinnamon mocha latte I've had in Greensboro and the best brownie I have ever had period. The batista was super friendly, and when asked for a recommendation on which brownie to get, did not hesitate or try and make it seem like she was debating on which to choose. Very decisive, so you know they are being genuine and honest, and as stated, it is the best I have ever tasted. It was also nice being able to watch the baker work with the dough. I'm not vegan, but they do have lots of vegan food, so that's great being inclusive. Turtle brownie. Buy it. Savor it. Start your day off right enjoying it or make your day better by having one

I was in town and looking for a local coffee shop. Google led me here and it was spot on. Nice and welcoming staff, yummy pumpkin and chocolate chip muffin. I got a table by the window and enjoyed some quiet time. They offered a wide variety of coffee drinks and hot teas as well as pastries to choose from. It's not fancy but it's quaint and perfect. Next time I'm in town I plan to visit again.

I adore this place! The muffins are my favorite, especially the vegan muffins. I actually live just right across the street, so I go in there almost everyday.

I am actually leaving a review because of the poor service I got recently. I went in, last Wednesday last minute, which I understand. I rushed over and made it there at 5:55. The door was locked and I knocked on the glass, having been there so many times - I asked "Can I just buy a couple muffins quickly?" The cashier obliged and let me in.

I deliberated probably thirty seconds with a friend (whom had never beent here, so he didn't know HOW to choose what and was overwhelmed by the variety.) The cashier RUSHED us. Was rude in dialogue - even when I wanted to tip her, (for letting us in during seemingly business hours). I payed for my muffins with a twenty. She gave me back a ten and a five in change, I asked if she had any dollar bills in the drawer. She said , "What do you want me to do? Open the drawer or what?" I still tipped her, but she clearly did not want to help us and honestly made us uncomfortable. Just in the regard that it was understood they were closing and trying to get out, so I rushed myself and my friend, made it out by 6pm and still had to deal with poor customer service. It was just...

Wow. I'm thinking I should have read the reviews beforehand now... I got a pre packaged turkey sandwich which was fine. Wasn't great, but I also didn't expect it to be great, it's a pre packaged turkey sandwich. Customer service was 50/50. I only say this because the duration of my visit consisted of two employees, one friendly guy, and one bitchy girl. NOW. For the CAKE. I was so excited, it was beautiful! I believe it was a cherry almond or cherry something.. I took the first bite and expected decadent bliss, instead my taste buds met OLD FRIDGE. No joke. I have tasted how cakes, pastries, cookies, etc. taste after they have been sitting in a refrigerator too long with other various flavored food items. If anyone else has experienced this for themselves then you know what I am referring to. I took a few more bites because I simply could not believe what my mouth was telling me.

Considered trying again, but so many other local options...
