Good food, BUT, BUT, BUT....
I have eaten at this place so much but after tonight I will never be back (unless the owner contacts me to make right what a manager refused to do). One of my favorite dishes here is Cilantro Shrimp. This dish is typically overloaded with cilantro. Here is where my problem comes in...
I ordered 3 meals for takeout a few weeks ago, one of them being Cilantro Shrimp. I got home and there was zero cilantro in the dish. I didn't call to complain. Instead, I ate it and dealt with it, realizing that everyone can make a mistake. Tonight I ordered 2 meals and appetizers for takeout. I got home and guess what? No cilantro in Cilantro Shrimp.. again! Since it's the 2nd time in a row it has happened I decided to call to see what they could do. I didn't ask for a refund, I simply asked if they could put my name down for a credit for the Cilantro Shrimp dish for in the future. I told the manager the next time my family and I came in to eat in person I'd use it then, and maybe I could get some cilantro then, the signature ingredient in the dish. She told me because they only left out cilantro there was no way they were willing to give a credit to me. REALLY? It's the name of the dish and twice in a row they forgot it. I've spent at least $1,500 at this restaurant thus far this year, and they can't make a dish right for me just one time, when this is the 2nd time it has happened within a 3 week period? WOW! Because of this I will never be back.
To me it's not about money, it's the principle behind what happened. Such a short sighted mindset. They would have at the worse broken even on making the dish right for me, and profited on everything else ordered immediately. Now, they will never get any of my money again. I guess I'll be driving to Jamestown to do Simply Thai from now on.
