Beach Tiki Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Greensburg

With family in for the weekend, we wanted to provide an authentic Greensburg experience. My sisters-in-law is a pescatarian (a vegetarian who eats fish), and a trip to The Beach seemed like it would be a hit for everyone. I remember the food and service fondly from previous visits (4+ years ago), but I don’t plan on returning any time soon.

To start things off, there is no drink list, but I was happy to find out the bar “could make anything”. I ordered a whisky ginger. This complex drink is roughly one part whisky and two parts ginger ale. They didn’t have any ginger ale. Thinking the ginger was the key to satisfying my thirst, they offered a Moscow Mule made from a sickly sweet pre-made mixture.

A short hour and a half or so later, while dealing with hungry children and after some prompting, our food finally came out. The most confusing part was that the kids food was clearly fresh out of the fryer, while everyone else’s food tasted like it had been cooling off in the kitchen for the last 40 minutes.

One member of the party was excited to eat their chipotle pepper jack chicken sandwich (with the special request of no pickles), but was disappointed when a hamburger (topped with pickles) came out on a frozen bun.

The pescatarian ordered a vegetable wrap, but the taste of the sauce was compared to “licking the inside of a dumpster”.

At this point, we just wanted to pay the bill and leave. The kids were exhausted and it was time for bed. Instead of diving into the issues with the meal, we requested the bill. The bill showed up quickly, but with a 4% CREDIT CARD...

My husband and I were passing through looking forward a different, good place to eat, and let me tell you, we were not disappointed! He had read reviews that it was the best burger that someone had so we had to try it. I got the mushroom and Swiss burger and was leery, but it WAS one of the biggest and best burgers I’ve ever had. Huge, and full of flavor and was dripping with juices. Absolutely amazing. My husband had their country fried steak special and he was thrilled with his choice. We ordered a Philly cheesesteak pizza to take home and it was equally amazing. Definitely somewhere we will come back to. Friendly staff, clean, and great atmosphere. If you’re on the fence about giving it a chance, just do it. You won’t regret anything you get there, I’m sure of it. We will absolutely make the drive...

The entire staff at The Beach Bar & Grill was fantastic!!! I contacted Greg several weeks ago to have an off site farewell party for a member of leadership in our department. Greg was professional and very friendly. When I went in person to solidify the arrangements, Greg, Lou (the owner), and Mandy (the manager)made it their business to make me comfortable with our decision to have our party there.

I must say, there is not a single thing that I would change in how they organized our party. Everyone had a Great Time!
