Quality of this place has gone WAY DOWNHILL. First time being back since they reopened and added dinner hours, we thought why not try it to see what it was like. We were told it would be about a 30 minute wait or so for food, but you’d get that about anywhere during dinner time so we went ahead and stuck with it. They also told us they were out of most of their sides (Wouldn’t they have prepared for that ahead of time?). Ordered our food and after about a 30-45 minute wait waitress comes over to tell us that they don’t have any country fried steak (what I ordered), so I subbed in a big tenderloin and thought they should’ve let us know sooner. Felt like there was no air conditioner in there. I heard people wanting to speak to the manager, but I don’t know what about. Waited for another 30 minutes, during which they started turning away customers because it was too busy & they didn’t have a lot of stuff left. Food finally came and our server (Kennedy) was running around trying to grab everything else we needed that I thought the cooks had to get. Then while we’re eating (the dinner rush had subsided quite a bit but they were still turning people away even tho they technically were open for another hour according to their hours) the cooks come out and start visiting with the workers including the manager. Three of the waitresses (not ours, she was running around trying her best) stand around the counter while there are still customers eating complaining about wanting to leave early, wanting to go home, one of them was even eating her own food while placing a to go order for I’m assuming herself to take home later. THEN one of the girls’s friends comes in and sits down and STARTS VISITING WITH THEM - while there are still customers eating. The girls never check on anyone, and stood there either eating or counting tips (thought that was done at closing time?). I will say that Kennedy and another girl were the only ones cleaning and straightening stuff up to prepare for closing from what it looked like, all the while the others are standing around visiting. Our server was great given the circumstances, and the tenderloin and beef Manhattan we got were good, although our stomach’s hurt right after we left. I get places are short staffed and they just recently reopened and new hours, but they need to train the workers they have to do better. We aren’t going back for a LONG time, if at all. Was a sad...

My 1st time at stories: Had the best server ever. KENNEDY was attentive. She Kept our drinks filled and was fantastic. The menu states that they do NOT offer French dressing. She stated that "the menu not offering French does not mean I wont get you French" BOOM! There it was. And that made the day glorious. KENNEDY, if you are reading this try French and Ranch 50/50 mix on your next side salad. I...
Read moreI was there with my SIL. He had been there before; I had not. We split an order of loaded fries as an appetizer. He had a Cuban sandwich with mashed potatoes/gravy and a side of cottage cheese. I had the daily special - baked pork tenderloin w/dressing & gravy, mashed potatoes with gravy, and I swapped the peas & carrots for macaroni salad. My SIL really enjoyed the appetizer and his sandwich/sides. I liked the appetizer, loved the pork, mashed potatoes, and the best macaroni salad I've had in many years. My only problem was the dressing; there was just too much sage for my tastes. There was so much sage, it was all I could taste. We both also had a slice of pie. He had butterscotch while I had coconut cream. Both were fabulous with some of the best crust ever. I didn't know that blackberry was an option, so we literally cleaned them out of their remaining blackberry pie (3 slices) to bring home. I would be remiss not to mention our server, Donna. She is very personable and worked to assure everything met expectations. She definitely helped to make the...
