Peaden's — Restaurant in Greenville

The food is excellent. The portions are big and there is enough to make two meals out of it most of the time. Never had anything bad there. Hot dogs and burgers are great too. Breakfast is real good but wish they served home potatoes instead of those greasy things they have.

One, and only one bad thing. Recently they have been closing the drive through window around 6:30 in the morning. Not sure if it is so employees can take their kids to school or go get cigarettes. What ever the reason they really need to stop. If I wanted to come in a wait in the long long line inside I would have done so to start with. Stop closing the drive through, make sure you got enough people there in the mornings to cover everything and to cut down on the line.

I will go to McDonald's before I go stand in line again.

4/26/19 Again the drive through is closed. So the driver in front of me and I both go to McDonalds. I don't know about him but I bought more stuff and paid more too there but at least they were open. If the drive through is closed the inside is normally slammed also. You need to work on your staffing and the owner or his son needs to be there earlier. This always happens between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM. I don't know what the problem is but you are loosing my business more and more every week as I am not going to go someplace I can not depend on being open when I pass by several other places I can get breakfacst, to include decent potatos. Ok, so the locals rave about this place, but unless I'm just missing something, this place is just ok. After sitting in a line that rivals the line at Chick-fil-A, I got 3 breakfast plates and all of the "home fries" were hard and not appetizing at all. The 1 pancake was good but it was just a pancake. The bacon was salty but they give you a generous portion so thats a plus, and it was actually soft not that crunchy over cooked stuff some people like to eat(to each its own). What interested me in going to the place was the online menu showed sweet potato biscuits which are my absolute favorite, but apparently they arent selling them right now because they arent on the menu board in the drive thru. I didnt ask because I was already confused on how to read all of the abbreviations on the menu, so if they do in fact have them, that's my fault. But anyway, I just wasnt impressed(sorry yall). The potatoes turned me off and everything else the kids ate was nothing worth writing a rave review, but hey, I tried it. I guess compared to some of the places that I have eaten at in Charlotte and VA, I expect more than a plate of food that tastes like what I can fix at home. But my home fries are better(thats my opinion and I'm entitled to it). Yall keep doing what you're doing tho. Apparently everyone here loves Peadens and the lines wrapped around the building are the proof. Maybe I will try the buffet when/if everything...

This place have been serving Pitt County Citizens for years and I have no problem with this. The food is definitely old fashion cooking and the cooks are great, so are some of the servers. On the other hand, please retrain one of your older caucasians cashier on the dine in side. Why do I say this? If you have a retired Vietnam Veteran that is 100% disabled, please tell me how can he come in his uniform to get a military discount? So she said she gave him a senior discount. Please some one tell me what is the VA Valid issued government ID for if government building respect and accept them? . Whom is this obvious uneducated older female to say they are not valid and dishonor a person that risked his life two and a half tours to not only come back to his country to be disrespected as a young man but now that he is older still face some very ignorant mess like this very oblivious ignorant woman not only said but did because we are the true Indigenous Aboriginal blacks people native and National to this country to still put up with such disrespectful behavior and ignorant behavior from someone whom should have been taught better. Man this is wrong and your employer need to be taught better or definitely fired. So so sad in this...
