Update - stopped for coffee and donut on July 19. Location not busy. Waited at counter for 2 min while employee less than 2 feet away prepared other orders. Was told eventually that I needed to use DD automated kiosk to order. Placed order after another two min of menu searches. Employee then read out the order. Without any acknowledgment the order was delivered to another pick up window. When I asked about my order I was told that it was waiting in another window.
Please please can the staff show some empathy for customers who do not know the exact procedure for every order.
This is a terrible process for quiet periods. Management should ensure staff are Properly trained in greeting Customers. Service downgraded to one star.
Kudos to CDOT for the time and money spent on recent renovations for this rest area and for the whole of the Merritt Parkway! You do the people of Connecticut proud in creating a welcoming environment for travelers.
Coffee and food are good and as expected. The challenge is staffing at this location. There is a Hispanic woman on duty, working alone, and she is visibly stressed in dealing with a large number of customers. The customers are mainly polite, but frustrated, because of the difficulty in communicating with the order taker. The staff member is trying her very best, but itâs difficult for her without a good command of English. I recommend management review more closely staffing requirements at this location and ensure that there are at least two people on duty at all times. This is a busy rest stop and there is competition in this location with options in the shop just on one side and a Subway shop on the other side, so this is a location that is not monopolistic and needs to be managed more carefully. (I am committed to living a diverse life. In this case, I think it is unfair to have this worker working on her own with all of the questions coming from customers as well as requirements to dispense food and drinks. Two weeks in a row Same last Friday Morning They messed up my order Actually they refused to take order Can you read my story and think about it Sir and Madam
It started to make me annoying Service getting worse
I just want to share what was happening July 19 th Friday morning shift and the other Friday morning shift Service team show bad attitude build up and provide to all customer with terrible service experience
Actually Is zero star attitude I donât think they donât appreciate work at great Dunkin Donuts
Yesterday I just went in and try to order my regular order Ham egg and cheese on croissant
No one at front desk and So I try to use kiosk screen
As soon as I try to touch screen
I got a pretty good yelling from employees
If you want to wait 20 30 minutes Go ahead Very meaningful voice
The other couple of customers Make a face and took off
I donât hear No Sir No apologies Very rude No sign of system down sign posting
Donât want to fight with mean people So I just went to store and pick up Coffe and cookies
I donât think it is right Keep bad employees Who sink yelling customers with no reason
I just want to my lunch and try to use kiosk.
I have no reason to hear yelling and mean attitude Other customers took off. I just let you know It was pretty bad attitude

I make /sure/ I stop in to see them - even if Waze tells me itâll take longer. They are the best start of any day - always happy to see their customers, always smiling, prompt and courteous- I donât think Ive ever had a better Dunkin Experience - and Ive never seen a team that has worked more seamlessly than them. Im not just another number on a slip, and Ive seen they treat their other customers just as warmly!
