The Country Table — Restaurant in Greenwich

The only thing that I would give this place is that the employees are sweet and the atmosphere lives up to its name. But we've had a horrible time with the food as time went on. And the owner used to make dinners for our family, sooo we know it's not his food. 🤷🏾‍♀️ The breakfast wrap, which was so carefully crafted in the beginning, (we'd come and get it everyday!!) is now a bunch of mush! I mentioned something first time, used to have them remake it everytime until I gave up and just stopped coming. Everything is like cooked together? Or idk what they are doing.. Bacon always flimsy and seems undercooked eveen when asked for it to be well done. I think they just use a cheaper bacon now. It used to be the BEST thing on the menu... t The ginger lemonade used to have ginger in it. It used to be sooo spicy, it tasted like something you couldn't get anywhere else. Now it taste like minutemaid. I just hate it for us, because everything here taste like everywhere else. watered down and bland. There is nothing that makes this place stand apart anymore. Except maybe where the food comes from? I would have just kept my opinion to myself... but 3x I've been here recently, and just ordered a croissant, and even after requesting double toasted, it still comes out cold, and stale... like how do you mess us a croissant.🤣🤣

Anyways, I might be picky, YES! But that's what I'm going to be when I'm spending my money. And I don't make a fuss bc, like I said the girlsl are really nice!🙃. But I literally hate that I don't like...

45 minutes for a Turkey sandwich! I Honestly I don't even know how this place is planning on staying in business.

I came here around 2 pm on a Wednesday. There was a bit of a line and after waiting about 10 minutes to place my order I was told it would take app 30-45 minutes to get my food. WHAT? It's not like I was ordering lunch for 20 people, it's not like I had a complicated custom request, it's not even like I ordered something that had to be cooked or even heated up. I literally ordered the most basic thing you can get: the house Turkey sandwich! It comes with Mustard, cheese, and lettuce on sliced bread. In what world does it take 45 minutes to make a Turkey sandwich? The excuse I was given was that they were "Still a little backed up from lunch"

At the end of the day I don't care how busy lunch was, this place is basically a fancy deli at its core and 45 minutes to make a sandwich is unacceptable no matter what the situation.

Needless to say I don't plan on going back here, and like I said in my opening marks: I honestly have no idea how they plan on staying in business with this level of service.

Update:

Tried to give this place a second chance despite my own experience and understanding that they are terrible. I went almost an hour before they were supposed close and was told that they were closed and wouldn't make anything I could grab something from the cooler if I wanted but that was it.

Seriously,...

A fantastic selection of breakfast, snack and lunch options. The food all looks extremely high quality and is very reasonably priced.

We ordered hot sandwiches and didn’t have to wait too long for them. The TCT burger was delicious.. juicy, lots of cheese and the special sauce (could of had more!) was very tasty. My wife ordered the Turkey sandwich and had it warmed and was equally tasty. The children devoured their cookie. They also have a small ice cream selection.

There are c8 small tables to sit at inside and a couple outside too.

The only small issue is parking. Limited parking on site and so you’re better parking on a nearby street or...
