I've debated on commenting on this but it keeps haunting me days later. Lol. We won't be going back due to the nastiness the cook pulled. 1st, I want to say the food is normally very good....that's why I gave it 2 stars. We always eat the catfish dinner. It's been very good and their pinto beans are great. The other day they did get our order wrong, we ordered a 5 piece catfish and we got 3 pieces. They did fix our ticket so we weren't charged.
The other night we went and it was very very busy. When the young lady sat us at a table she did warn us that it was very busy & there would be a 30 minute wait before the food could even get cooked. We appreciated the heads up. We were able buy an appetizer tho so that was nice.
It went down hill from there. The staff are usually young kids, I'm assuming their 1st jobs so the service isn't the greatest, but the food is usually worth it, although it's overpriced. The kicker for us was when the cook came out to visit with someone and was literally scratching UNDER HIS BELLY!!! I'm assuming it was under his belly, he was wearing an apron so I couldn't completely see when he moved to the side but his hand was still there......DIGGING.
My husband was DONE eating. I was appalled and laughing at the same time. Some poor kid who was sitting with his family even said something to his Mom about it.
The cook wasn't just disgusting, he was very rude to the waitress and other patrons too. An older couple had complained to her about the food being cold. The cook came out and told that couple don't blame him, blame the waitress for being so slow in getting them the food. I was shocked.
The service is always terrible bc usually there's only one waitress working and all the others are standing around watching her or arguing amongst each other. There are 2 or 3 girls that work there that are very good at what they do but the rest, not so much.
We won't be back because of how gross the cook was. If he wasn't even aware of what he was scratching in the public eye, what is he scratching behind the...
Read moreI have been to this establishment a few times they have great salads. Last night my mom and dad were visiting from out of town and wanted to go out and eat. My fiancé decided we should go to the dairy. When we got there it was a waiting line. We waiting and finally got seated after 15 minutes or so. We were seated at a table the waitress kindly wiped it down but didn't clean off the seats or the floor under and around the table. I ended up sitting in spilt soda on my seat and my shoes were in a puddle of soda. I had to wipe down my mothers chair. The floors and chairs was disgusting for any restaurant. I said it's busy they must be short staffed. After about 10 minutes the waitress came back and took our drink order. Took another 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive and was one drink short. Waited another 10 minutes to have our order taken and then another 45 minutes or so for our food to arrive. Three of our guests had salads my mom and I both had cheeseburgers. The cheeseburger were cold and they gave my mom a plain burger. I quickly had it sent back bc she ordered it with the works. Then she got her burger back still cold but with bacon on it. My mother's religion doesn't let her eat pork so I switched my burger with hers. We tried not to complain and we didnt want to keep sending our food back bc we waited too long as is. The waitstaff didn't come check on us until we got our food. Almost forgot to mention we got our food and drinks before we got silverware and straws so most of my table sat there and couldn't eat until we had to grab a waitress to bring us something to eat with. If I could I would give this place a zero star review. No customers should have to go through that just for food and then be served cold burgers on top of it. I would not recommend this place to...
Read moreWe've had our 4th of July dinner here before the fireworks for almost 5 years. Each time its always been a hassle and disappointment, from the burgers being overcooked and dry to them substituting items without coming out and asking first. Last 4th I ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger. It came with bread mushrooms and gravy and no cheese. I finally got the attention of another waitress and she promptly told me we were not her table and walked off. Probibly 10 went by and I finally had to take it up to the counter and bring it to their attention, I also ask where our waitress was and was told she went home. I ask who our waitress is now, was told the girl that went home was again our waitress. So I told the woman can you tell our waitress we need refills, And With a straight face the woman says I can't, she went home. By this time my burger came back from the kitchen with a cold piece of cheese laying on a cold burger... really? I motioned to the woman to look at this monstrosity and she smiled and said is there anything else? My family and I sat there in disbelief, my daughter didnt once touch her chicken strips because they had burnt black bits stuck on the outside of the breading or not once touch her fries because they were cold and limp. . Not once did anyone come to our table to check on us or refill our drinks. And when anything was brought to their attention, they simply DID NOT CARE! This year I shall do what all Americans choose to do and Not partake in this establishment anymore. If I want to just give my money away there are countless panhandlers on the side of the road that appreciate it more than The Dari. And you get a thank you and a...
