I genuinely do not understand the hype around this place. My husband and I moved to Greenwood about a year ago and we have tried to eat at this place on two separate occasions. Both times we walked into the restaurant it smelled heavily of mildew and both times my husband and I agreed to go elsewhere. Tonight we ordered it in, really trying to wrap our heads around why locals say this place is so good.
I'm sorry, it's not. Spent like 30 dollars in food, and our fries were soggy and looked like they were not only cooked in old oil, but were half-cooked on top of it. How they managed to nail down a floppy, half-cooked fry I will never know. The floppy fry thing I can honestly dismiss with getting it ordered for takeout, but there isn't an excuse for anything else.
Their wings were gross. Like, on par with Pizza Hut. Soggy, small, completely wrecked with sauce. I could honestly justify wings like this while blitzed drunk at 3am, but considering how everywhere in town closes by midnight, I can't find justification for this either.
My Philly was disgusting. Hands down the worst Philly I have ever had, and I picked this as a safe option because my husband was the one who wanted to give this place another chance. I got three bites into it before the plastic-like cheese ruined by appetite and the off-taste made it just not conceivably edible. Even my husband took a bite of this thing and lost his appetite.
Never again guys. I'll come back to knock off a star if I get food poisoning.
Edited to Respond to Owner:
The only difference between your philly and your steak bomb was the cheese, and every philly I have ever ordered has had provolone. I'm glad the locals like and trust you, but to us, the food and atmosphere were not up to par, and the response trying to split hairs only goes to underline every...
Read moreI called to place an order for a steak bomb hoagie. I spoke with a young lady and was explicit on how I wanted my sandwich. No provolone, lettuce, tomato, extra mayonnaise and grilled onions.
What I received was a mediocre sandwich that was definitely not giving the representation of what was on the website.
I called the restaurant back and explained what I received did not depict what I requested. I spoke with the same young lady.
After, going back and forth. She stated I could get a refund.
There was no conversation of bringing back the food. Now,please know I asked could I forward a picture of what I received.
Her only response was a refund will be issued.upon returning to the restaurant a refund was denied because the food was not brought back and of course I was hit with the “Who did you speak with?” And no refund will be issued.
It is 100 degrees outside and what we are not going to do is go back and forth over my $15 I wasted patronizing your restaurant.
I am very aware of where I am right now. I don’t expect the level of professionalism that I would receive elsewhere. Facts.
The hoagie was weak in its presentation. And my request was not fulfilled. .
I will not be patronizing your restaurant anymore and your customer service is not giving.
I knew when I came for my refund it would be something extra with it.
Respectfully, to have the perception of being deceitful and not honest regarding a $15 situation does not apply to me.
Please take pictures of your food before you leave as someone is clearly not listening that maybe...
Read moreI'm still on the fence about this place tbh. The first time I went to dinner with family, it was amazing. This time, I went for lunch, and the food was pretty terrible. I ordered the new sticky chicken and the bacon on my sandwich was cold country ham. The sticky sauce was described as bbq and teriyaki mixed but was most def just teriyaki drizzled on top of a chicken finger on a bun with cold ham on top. I tried to order a draft and waitress said they only had bottles...ok....then 10 min later came back and said the bottle I ordered wouldn't be cold for another 10 to 15 min so I said OK just give me a tea. Then, as we are finishing our meal, another waitress brings me a beer!!! They took it off the ticket... but still... idk not sure I'll be back tbh....maybe try dinner...
