Kitchen Sync - Eastside — Restaurant in Greer

This is not a good place to meet some other people for dinner. They will not seat you until your party is all there. There is virtually no waiting area. No pagers. Until you get a table you are persona non grata. After you get seated the food is good and the servers are nice. When you try to order a drink while you wait it is uncomfortable. A person standing at the edge of reception is not a priority. The bar area seemed full of people who know each other and spoke loudly. We are going to try again tonight. We sat next to the cacophony. Hopefully I won’t start out tonights visit pissed. It is hard to sit there and watch people getting seated and wondering if when your friends arrive there will be any tables. If I can’t get seated on arrival and there are open tables available I may call an audible and go elsewhere when our friends arrive. Another friend recently went for the first time and said it was one and done for them. Bad bbq and an overpriced salad. I told him we were going back tonight and he said “good luck”! I really want this place to succeed since it is right next to my neighborhood. Have tried fried beets, sticky chicken app and shrimp burger all of which were great. Also tried an entree salad Bahn mi. Not so great. Giving the place a few more chances.

Post update, good dinner again tonight. Sticky chicken, chicken sandwich, fries, schmores, all great. Great service from Jessica. So excited that Kitchen Sync is here in Greer! Been hearing positive buzz since they opened, and it’s definitely deserved. We had the white cheddar pimento cheese with Carolina fire crackers- AMAZING! Perfect app; the house-made crackers took it to another level. My lunch date got the pulled pork sando and I got the fish & chips (Carolina catfish). Both came with house-made fries which were so good. My catfish was hot, fresh, flaky, crispy and buttery- everything you would want it to be!
