came in on 4/2/24 at 4:30 and paid 42.00 dollars for a family pack and an extra side of meat. We sat down and waited for our order. After about 10 minutes of waiting, an elderly lady probably in her 60's told us we cannot stay and that it was takeout only. She made an assumption that we were even planning on dining in because not once were we asked. She then proceeded to say that they didn't charge us for dine in, so we politely asked if we could pay the extra fee for the plates and dine in costs. She was extremely rude and just kept arguing with us. Even after my wife said, "that's fine we will leave, but can we please get a refund since you're obviously not bringing us our food," she continued to make us feel extremely unwelcome and essentially kicked us out. She just kept saying, "sorry this is strict policy you need to leave." My wife asked for a refund again, and the kid that originally took our order finally gave us the refund.. I don't usually feel discriminated against but she had a personal issue with me and my kids (who were being extremely respectful and just drinking their lemonade the whole time). Read moreA couple months ago me and my wife stopped here for a Togo order. We ordered the family combo. Mistake #1 was no smoky smells in this BBQ restaurant. #2 when I saw the gentleman fill my coleslaw container from a giant bucket, from what looked like a Sysco product, the BBQ sauce was so bad that I used my Baby Rays instead. I knew I was in trouble after all that. Now, I'm a Chef and former kitchen manager at a BBQ restaurant from VA, and this restaurant did not give me a BBQ restaurant vibe. Nobody, except the girl who took our order, was very happy. Not one smile from behind the counter. Now if I didn't know better, I would say there's nothing there that indicated to me that any protein was being smoked on the premises. I may even venture to say that as flavorless as the food was, it may have even been from a bag, a Sysco product. The entire meal was packed into quart or pint deli containers instead of 9x9 foam 1 comps or 9x9 3 comp containers. Very disappointed and will not be returning at the $36.00...
Read moreI recently just got HIRED from this place 09/23/2016 .Reasons Doug Rogers gave for HIRING me was that he had a few customers GIVE THANKS and because I NEEDED a new job close by. For 4 Months I was a cashier working for the absolute MAXIMUM that Doug offered . However New Employees that got hired received higher pay ALSO. I've also experienced the CLEAN, and SANITARY ways Doug runs his buisness. I WOULD recommend any to apply for here. LITERALLY EVERYONE wears gloves while preparing food. Burger's are made on EVERY DAY and when ordered by a Customer is SERVED HOT AND DELICIOUS. However, customers KNOW that they where made fresh. The Conversation we had regarding Doug HIRING me was not IMMATURE at all. Seemed more STRAIGHT FORWARD, HAPPY,and out of ENJOYMENT.
