Alright, buckle up for a grill-tastic review, because I'm about to serve up some sizzling hot takes on Tokyo Grill in Greer, SC, with a side of dad-approved humor!
🍣 Tokyo Grill: A Dad's Delight 🍣
As a seasoned connoisseur of the culinary arts (and by that, I mean I've mastered the art of grilling a mean burger), I ventured into Tokyo Grill with my family in tow, ready to tackle the "Mt. Fuji" of flavor. Now, let me tell you, this place might not look like the Ritz, but it's got the "it's" that makes you sit... and eat!
The menu is like a treasure map, leading you to the X that marks the spot of deliciousness. I ordered the Low Carb Teriyaki Chicken, and folks, it was so good, I almost called my fitness trainer to brag about my healthy choice. But then I remembered I don't have a fitness trainer—just a pair of old running shoes that double as lawn mowing attire.
My kids dove into the Steak and Chicken Teriyaki with Fried Rice like they were on a culinary episode of "Ninja Warrior." And the Hibachi Chicken Lo Mein Noodles? Let's just say if there was a noodle Olympics, Tokyo Grill would be taking home the gold.
The staff? Friendlier than a neighbor with a borrowed lawn mower. They're quicker than me chasing the ice cream truck on a hot summer day. And the ambiance? It's got that "home away from home" vibe, if your home was a cozy Japanese eatery with more charm than a dad's joke book.
Now, some might say the food is as bland as a weather report in Death Valley, but I say it's as flavorful as my puns on a good day. And the portions? Generous enough to make your belt buckle question its life choices.
Tokyo Grill is the kind of place that makes you want to say "arigato" and "see you tomorrow" in the same breath. It's a dad's paradise where the grill is hot, the food is hearty, and the dad jokes are always on the house. So, if you're looking for a place that's got good eats and beats the "dad test," Tokyo Grill is your spot. Just don't forget to try the carrots—they're a bit sweet, but...
Read moreAbsolutely Horrible !! My family and I have always enjoyed Tokyo Grill especially my 8yr old daughter , the past couple of times that we have been in our order has either been messed up or just tossed in the box and not very appetizing. Last night we decided to place a to go order , long story short the order was messed up. The owner or cook who is a sad excuse for a human being and was very rude and insulted my family in front of other costumers , tried to blame us for the order being messed up. I'm not saying that we didn't accidently tell him the wrong thing but the point is we have spent lots of money in here many times, and even if we did I have served before and sometimes its better to say ok to the costumer and just walk away. He acted like we were trying to scam him for extra food , and trust me the way it looked last night I was better off going to McDonalds. The only reason it was even a big deal was because the food that as missing was for my little girl who was the one who wanted it to begin with. After it was all said and done she was left in tears with no dinner of her own , so we gave her what we had in the bag which was very messed up, so at least two of us didn't eat. On the other hand the server was very sweet and super understanding , she should run the place instead of him. I had her refund our money and keep It as a tip because at least she was kind . As for him I hope this is shown to him and he needs to know we will never set foot in there even if there giving food away for free. I have told almost everyone today our experience to keep others from coming in there because he doesn't deserve the business of other hardworking KIND...
Read moreLooks like they have new management..... This used to be a place my wife and I really enjoyed until today. First, we were told to just seat ourselves and we chose a comfortable spot in the back, problem with that was apparently they don’t check in the back. My wife and I were sitting so long that we already knew what we wanted to eat and drink and had time to talk before a waiter came over to talk to us. Then, the food took at least 30 minutes to come out even though we got the “Fast entrees”. When the waiter brought out our food, he spilled some of my food on the tray he was serving off of and made nothing of it. But the thing the waiter did have to say for some reason was how big my plate of food was and it came off very rude. We didn’t have our drinks refilled literally until we were about to pay, we were not checked on until we were about to pay. My meal came with the choice of a salad or a soup and I got the miso soup.... you better remind them of what you ordered when they bring it out or else you might not get something. I had to ask for my soup to go once we were finally checked on. Also, the food was not nearly as good as it used to be; the rice was dry and the vegetables were hard. I can’t believe the bill either, once we went to pay for it they got the prices confused. The meal I got came with a soup and they were about to charge me for an extra soup, I reminded the waiter that my meal included a soup and he adjusted it..... and somehow the price went up $5... Very unhappy with this place and my wife and I will not be...
