overall: very good food, decent portions, dine-in (as of this review) and take out, prices are more like $$ (not $) for entrees, imported shrimp, good variety of menu options. pro: - we had chicken satay, green curry, and pad thai. the flavor of everything was wonderful and spot on! - the menu has lots to choose from. - you could dine in. there was no information on expected protocol via signage other than masks are required for entry. we just masked until food arrived and unmasked to eat. - decent food arrival time. - staff were friendly and helpful. - we will come back! - so good, i'll say it again: the food taste was fantastic! the flavoring and combination of ingredients was superb! - decent decor. con: - not sure if this is pandemic related, but the menu is just printed copy paper stapled at the top corner. at these prices, i would expect a bit more panache. - again, this could be pandemic related (lack of kitchen staff?), but we were given plastic takeaway utensils with our meal and styrofoam cups with no lids for our beverage. again--with entree prices running from $8.95 - $15.95, don't put little plastic bags of utensils in front of me and a dopey styrofoam cup. if the pandemic is causing these cost cutting measures--put a small note in the menu or post a sign letting people know. times are really hard right now. if this is the case, people will cut you some slack. - would much prefer to have eaten local shrimp. no indication of this was seen on the menu. state law requires notification. hopefully they had a posted sign somewhere. but this is something you really shouldn't hide. this restaurant could really gain some loyal customers and more business if they used local seafood and then bragged about it. - entree prices were steep enough to cause us to visit not nearly as often as we'd like; no way to bring the whole family. if the entrees were $1-2 less, that would be much more reasonable. maybe offer a large and small version of the same entree at different price points? - restrooms could use some updating and attention. - table was wobbly--minor thing, but details matter! **note: yes, it seems like there are lots of cons, but the place still gets 4 stars because of the wonderful food balancing the other stuff out.** **marketing suggestion: post a picture somewhere of one of the last guys who caught your shrimp and a little blurb about them. "this is claude b. he's a third generation shrimp boat captain. his boat--the lucky hammer--is named for... etc." swap it out every month or so. people would really love this kind of thing!!**

Our server Marquita was really nice and very attentive. I went there with friends/co-workers for a staff meeting and we were the only ones there the entire time which was 2 hours. I read the reviews on Yelp and they were bad, really bad; I was a little nervous to go but we already had decided to meet there. The food came out quick and we all ate family style. It was enough food to feed all four of us. We ordered the papaya salad, basil rice, drunken noodles, a curry and a dessert. I liked everything, but my co-workers couldn't handle too much spice so it was nice that they can tailor the spiciness. I only give it 3 stars because my boss could tell that the shrimp was imported. I work with commercial fishermen so I'm always looking for ways they can market their product locally instead of restaurants serving imports. Either way, I'd go back.

To everyone that likes non-spicy AND spicy authentic Thai food, this is it. Not that Modern-Fusion taste that caters to consumers with bland taste buds - go to the other two Thai restaurants in the West Bank. Idk why it has 4.3 stars because the staff is small so they recognize me and returning customers and they make me feel welcomed and special all the time. Reminds me of going home to my parents for a nice, endorphin-boosting meal. 100/10 because they are underrated. Try for yourself and seriously let them know if they’re cooking is delicious over other Thai restaurants (staying unbiased here about taste since I grew up eating this type of SPICE and ingredients). Thank you to the Chef Tom and the nice lady who took my order (don’t know how to spell your name but I know how to pronounce it) 💯💯💯❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

I considered giving more stars, because the food is really good, especially the curry. But by all means, if you want to eat their food, get delivery or takeout. Why?

In chronological order:

-the restaurant was incredibly cold, A/C on full blast. A sweater was not enough. -our table had tiny gnats crawling on it, even before we had food. And we had a lot of time with just us and the gnats, because… -it took about 45 minutes to get our food, appetizer and entrees all came together. No updates during the wait, except to verify what kind of noodles we had ordered… -which turned out to be pointless, because we still got the wrong noodles (pad see ew in place of pad kee mao). Didn’t even bother to complain at that point, because it was close enough that it wasn’t worth waiting for another plate. -waitress knocked over the dipping sauce, cleaned up but didn’t replace it. -the Panang curry was so good, really. I even dunked my spring roll in it, because, you know, the dipping sauce was gone. -more waiting to get the check. -check is incorrect, they charged us for bottled water when we had clearly ordered and received tap water. -they refused to take the bottled water off the check, and insisted that they had poured bottled water into our cups before bringing them out. Ridiculous even if it were...
