Langdon's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Gretna

Came here for a late lunch because nothing else was open nearby, and NOT happy with the experience.

Nobody came up to us when we entered and we had to look across up at the bar to figure out who to talk to. The server told us to pick a table.

My fiance, brother and I all got burgers but they were very subpar. (Fiancé and I both are burger connoisseurs) Bun was not good quality. Lettuce and onion just kept on the side. Chicken patty was very very thin. Everything was just thrown on together. Taste was also just okay.

We got side salads with the burgers, and they were just a bunch of (low quality iceberg) lettuce, shredded cheese, croutons and dressing. - We asked for no tomato.

I also ordered a big size chicken salad and it was a big disappointment. That same lettuce, cheese, croutons, dressing.. But with a few pieces of grilled chicken on top. Amount of chicken was very meager.

The only good part here were the fries! Crunchy and amazing. If anything I would come only...

Strange dining experience indeed. Got a bacon cheeseburger and fries. Service was actually good. Food was terrible.

The strange part.. burger was cooked properly, but they used some sort of seasoning or marinade (maybe soy?) That turned it into a total salt bomb and made it inedible, all you could taste was salt and some odd flavor I couldn't really identify. Having only one tiny slice of bacon on a good sized burger did not help matters.

Fries again prepared well as far as temperature and cooking time. Crispy outside, tender inside. However they were battered in some sort of beer batter with a mixture of competing spices that also rendered them practically inedible.

Worst part perhaps, I don't think the glass my Mt Dew was in got rinsed properly, I kept getting a chemical after taste that I'm guessing was detergent of some sort.

In short, can't recommend and won't be back...

Id like to preface this by saying I’m not sure if we got singled out because we only had two people or what, but here is our experience. I can honestly say that the food was very good. My friend and I are attending a school at a nearby military base and we decided to try this place out. We arrived here for dinner at 6:15PM on a Tuesday. We ordered our drinks at 6:20PM and did not receive them until 6:45PM. We then ordered our food and did not receive it until 8:00PM. The waitress only stopped by twice to check in on us at that time. There were multiple tables around us that got there after us and received there food long before us. The only thing we can deduce is that they noticed our haircuts and decided to place is at the lowest...
