PJ's Coffee — Restaurant in Gretna

I frequent here a lot and it has really turned around since the new ownership. The drinks are inconsistent though as well as the pricing. One time I’m getting charged an extra dollar for something I have no idea what it’s for and because they don’t give receipts, right away and my receipts come via email- I never catch it in time. I guess I could start asking for a paper receipt.

My biggest complaint besides the inconsistency of the drinks and the strange charges, is that they always always just assume that you’re going to tip.

Especially through drive-thru. They always ask, do you want to give a 15% or 20% or 30% tip? Like huh? Since when is tipping mandatory or presumed?

Also since when do people blatantly ask for tips?

In that case, save yourself some embarrassment from “begging” and just make the tips automatic. It’s rude and...

If you're going through the drive through have them open the boxes before giving them to you. If the order is wrong they will not take the food back due to the pandemic. The girls at the window said they could not give a refund since they can't take the food back. But I had handed them a cash tip before I had realized the food was wrong. From my car to their hands. I had to call the manager to even try to get a refund. The manager said that even though it would be a loss she would give me a refund back and they would throw the food away. I don't know why she would put it in that terminology since it was her staff that messed up my order. It felt like a guilt trip. Super cute little place. Friendly ladies working inside. Everything clean. Had some cute merch.

I got the bananas foster iced latte. Maybe I don’t know how to order here as it was my first time but a large isn’t very large here. It was a delicious drink though.

Got the beignets- they were good but just reheated in the convection oven.

All the breakfast sandwiches come in premade and are just heated up in that oven too. Like starbees, probably still good but just something I noticed.

Got a chocolate chip cookie - it tasted old and was hard. I think all the pastry and cookies come in premade...
