We'll Smoke You BBQ — Restaurant in Gretna

My significant other purchased take out for us for lunch while I ran another quick errand. While the food portion was a decent size, I have never been so disappointed with a pulled pork sandwich for lunch! In only a few minutes, the bun was already so grease-soaked, I almost couldn't pick it up to eat it with my hands! After taking a couple bites, I had to set it down, wipe my hands off completely with car cleaning wipes I already had in my vehicle.

I ended up closing the styrofoam take out container, placing it inside a plastic bag on the floor of my vehicle, and decided to finish eating my sandwich at home.

When I arrived home and opened the bag take out container was in, I discovered a puddle of orange grease in the bottom of the bag and the entire bottom of the container my sandwich was in was covered in about an 1/8th of an inch of grease as well! It was gross to say the least!

UPDATE MARCH 2021. Still one of the best around.. ribs were smoky, flavorful, and tender. 4 Years Ago: I have only a few BBQ favorites in the greater Omaha metro area. Smoke U is in that top tier. Prices are more than fair, and portions are good. We had a brisket sandwich and 1/2 rack of ribs. They really pile on the brisket. It was tender and had a great smoky flavor. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone. The ribs came covered in BBQ sauce. I prefer them dry leaving me the choice as to what to put on them, or not. That's kind of a regional thing. You order at the counter, get your own drinks, and they bring out the meal... quite promptly even though the place was busy on a Thursday night. Honestly food is whatever, nothing to write home about and not mind blowing by any means, I could of looked past that if they would of made up for it with their customer service, however any time I go to this establishment I am treated so poorly for no reason at all. The staff is incredibly rude and condescending, they act like their restaurant is better than any other when their food is sub par at best. You can ask a simple question and they look at you and answer as if you are stupid for even asking. I love supporting local establishments and giving people the benefit of the doubt, but I have yet to have a positive experience here after multiple attempts.
