We went for dinner on a very busy night - they barely fit our group of 6 since we didn't have a reservation. The food was delicious with beautiful presentation. Everything was a bit salty but that seems standard for Puerto Rico. The seafood mofongo was TO DIE FOR and the tostones rellenos sampler platter was on point (way bigger than expected - definitely shareable!). My teenage son was very happy with his pasta.
The drinks were very good - the passion fruit mojito had real bits of passion fruit in it! The piña coladas were super creamy but almost too sweet. We added an extra shot of Don Q and that fixed it right up.
The atmosphere was LOUD - it felt like everyone in the restaurant was yelling and the acoustics made the sound bounce all over. The lighting was also weird. I would post pictures of the food but it all just looks blue from the indoor lighting! Ha! Not my favorite atmosphere but the food...
Read moreI went there last Thursday, visiting from NYC. A little confused on where I park my car (though it must have been the slow hours) I found the parking lot. I was welcomed with great hospitality. It felt good to have to whole restaurant to ourselves. I ordered a reasonably bottle of merlot with my mofongo de churrasco, complemented with house. I must say this was probably the best styled mofongo I’ve ever tasted. The sauce was on point and the plating was perfect, I feel like the owner personally made our food. It was a bowl of ground friend green plantains topped with skirt steak and drizzled in house sauce recipe. This had to be my favorite styled mofongo on the island of Puerto Rico and I highly recommend this place & I am so happy I happen to find this place. I can’t wait to come back and experience what this place is like on...
Read moreThis restaurant I visited is in Guanacaste county of Puerto Rico by Playa Santa.. First night there I had the shrimp carbonara, it was superb, the shrimp were plentiful, the sauce was like I never tasted before, highly recommend the dish. The second night there I tried a dish that my daughter had the first night I can not give you the name as I can't pronounce it much less spell it but, it is an appetizer that comes in a martini glass full of Mahi Mahi with a few onion slices, a few red and green peppers in a vinaigrette dressing. Now I had never tasted Mahi Mah, it was delicious. I had enough to take home to have for breakfast the next morning, as my son-in-law had ordered another appetizers that comes in three pieces of some pork in I think a plantain cup, so we each had one of them. They...
