The first taste i had of one of his dishes was more than 2 decades ago and every year he just get better and better like a great Tuscan wine. He assemble all dishes with a careful harmony in every ingredient displayed across the plate. His array of flavors and textures are spicy, vivid and colorful. He always surprise you with unexpected proposals out of the menu. What makes Fornaio a very diferent italian eatery is that you can access and enjoy a 5 star italian dishes without the average rigors and formal etiquette that are required in such places. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service close but not intimidating. Fornaio have a master as a Bakery Chef, Miguele who prepare daily all pastries always faithful to the most well guarded italian techniques and tradition. The staff there are second to none and the best way to describe them is professionals with always an honest and lovely smile in their faces. Also eggplant parmigiana. A Russian River chard. Knew it would be super. It was perfect. I ❤️ risotto! Alberto’s makes the best. Really!
