“Update for your answer”
It's very disappointing to see your indifferent attitude toward your own business. It took you a month to respond to the review of your restaurant.
But even your response was very unprofessional and had a hint of sarcasm, which once again confirms that you are not fully a professional in your field.
I did not comment on the style of your restaurant; I was talking about the cleanliness of your restaurant and the fact that you do not maintain it. I also did not comment on the style of your restroom; I pointed out that you do not keep your restroom clean. Moreover, I would now say that I deeply regret visiting your restaurant in the first place. The only thing we've confirmed is that you are not a professional in your field, and this is reflected both in the cleanliness of your restaurant and in your response to our review. We do not recommend this place to anyone.
According to statistics, there are three types of restaurants we can visit. First: those restaurants that you want to visit again and again. Second: those restaurants that you would have been better off not visiting at all. Third: those restaurants that you visit only once and never want to return to.
In our opinion, this establishment falls into the third category.
There are also four main criteria that most people use to evaluate any restaurant. First: service, which includes how you are greeted from the moment you enter and the level of professionalism with which you are served. It is worth noting that in this establishment, the waiter and host knew their job. We felt cared for and professionally attended to. However, there was one issue we didn't like. We ordered duck breast, and my wife asked for it to be cooked "well done," but our waitress insisted that this was a bad idea and recommended "medium well." We agreed, but unfortunately, my wife was dissatisfied with the level of doneness. The waitress offered to take the remaining dish and cook it more, but we refused since it would have taken more time (which we didn't have).
Second: the atmosphere of the establishment. Unfortunately, apart from the beautiful view from the window, the atmosphere was lacking. The chairs were dirty, the windows were dirty, and the owners seemed to have crammed as many tables as possible, making it difficult for the waitstaff to move around without bumping into seated guests.
Third: the food. We really liked the desserts and cocktails, but as for the main dishes (like the duck breast mentioned earlier), they were neither bad nor particularly tasty, and they lacked any aftertaste, which is very important for every dish.
And fourth, but still important, are the restrooms. Given the high prices at this restaurant, we expected something more modern in the restrooms. Yes, they were clean, but it felt like this room was last updated 20 years ago, and everything looked very old. I don't mind old, but when you pay a lot of money for food at a restaurant, you expect more for your money. My wife and I can't call this place our favorite, and we don't think we will...

My husband and I ordered off their seasonal prefix menu for $89 per person, such an amazing deal 2 full sized appetizers, 2 large entrees & 2 very delicious desserts! We also ordered the famous and must-have fried duck confit rolls with thr ginger plum dipping sauce, so crispy and the filling well seasoned! Their beet salad layered with goat cheese was fresh, the macadamia nuts & orange balsamic sauces went well with it all! I loved the combinations & Im not usually a fan of goat cheese! My husband had the lamb chop lollipops with a mint chimichurri sauce, and those were perfectly cooked, super delicious! It came with these unique, crispy, fried goat cheese balls that went great with the dish! There was so much flavor, it was amazing! The Prawn pasta with the housemade fettuccine & the truffle sauce with perfect in every bite! You can tell they really take pride in all their dishes! The bigeye tuna ahi poke served with crispy wontons and fresh avocado slices was memorable. I highly recommend trying this if you see it on the menu! For dessert we got the delicious creamy chocolate mousse & vanilla creme Brule that was crispy on top & served with fresh berries. I loved every bit, it was a lovely way to end the meal! You honestly can't go wrong with anything on their menu.
Drinks - Full bar, massive wine list selections, non alcoholic options, sodas, etc.
Service - the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile by the hostess and seated at our table quickly. Our waiter, was so kind and attentive! Everyone that approached our table was friendly & made sure we were happy
Parking - limited parking at the top, but plenty at the bottom of the hill where the cabins are located. Just a steep hill the driver will have to walk, but so worth it because the views are beautiful!
Make dinner reservations online asap! During the week is probably easier to get a walk in table but definitely have a reservation for the summer weekend months (June-Aug)
Great spot for a date night with loved ones & friends, plus size friendly seating, no booths its all tables & chairs.
You can dress casual or dress up, they encourage you to come as you are. The bar seating is full of locals & regulars so again come as you are, no stress but definitely dress up for the occasion too! The vibe is relaxed as there's many options to choose where to sit, at the bar, in the dining room, out on the deck, or the beautiful sun room. My husband & I dressed up & went outside on the deck to take photos it was beautiful!
The view from the restaurant is unlike anything else on the coast! It overlooks where the ocean and the Russian River, lots of wildlife!

Read moreMy boyfriend and I absolutely love this place. We've been up there three times in the last year. It would be more if we had the time. Unfortunately we were up there when the restaurant isn't open, but none the less, we still enjoyed our stay. The views are amazing from the balcony. The room is always clean and the staff are always so delightful. I spoke with Gabriel on the phone prior to our arrival and our conversation was great. He recommended some other eateries around the area.
I have one suggestion. It would be nice if the rooms had microwaves. My boyfriend and I normally bring stuff for sandwiches and snacks. There are times we don't want to leave the room because it's so relaxing, it would be nice to be able to have a microwave available to heat stuff up, including leftovers when we do make it to the restaurant. I will post pics from our current stay last week of the views from our balcony.
I booked a room/cabin at River's End as well as dinner reservation at the restaurant for my boyfriend's birthday. We have nothing but positive things to say about our time spent at River's End Restaurant and Inn. We stayed in Room 5. The room was amazing and the view was even more amazing. My boyfriend hadn't seen the room (it was a surprise) until we got there, and he was so pleased by how cozy and homey if felt. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and listening to the waves of the ocean and watching the fog come in and out. Besides not being able to see the sun set on the ocean (because of overcasting), it was the most beautiful I have ever seen.
The food at the restaurant was so delicious. I had the Lamb Lollipops and he had the Filet Mignon. We both loved the food and the dessert was also very delicious. He had the Crème Brule and I had the Chocolate Mouse. Since we were celebrating his birthday, the restaurant staff put a candle in his dessert. The staff were very professional, but also very friendly. We enjoyed our time there so much that my boyfriend is already planning our next trip back, but this time getting one of the cabins with a fireplace. We would recommend River's End Restaurant & Inn to anyone that is looking for a relaxing, unplugged,...
