Jack's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Guymon

Well where do I begin! First of all we are new to the Guymon area so we’ve been trying the local places. We have been here 3 times, 2 times we ate and food has been ok but tonight we went and walked out because we couldn’t get waited on! I’m sorry but sitting at a table for MORE than six minutes with no HELLO I’ll be right with you is too long when you’re sitting watching waitstaff walk by and the hostess going back and forth to kitchen with not a HELLO or can I get you a drink or I’ll be right there? WHAT HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! That’s just as important as the food because if you don’t receive good service why waste your time and money on waiting and WAITING to see if you can even order the food! I know what I’m talking about because I’ve been in the restaurant business for over 32 years,retired now, but in those years I have waited, hosted, cooked, cashiered, and OWNED my own restaurant! First impressions are LASTING! This place is lacking in management because if there was a manager present they should have been out in the restaurant waking around and making sure their employees are doing their job, starting with the hostess! There was no “Hi how are you “ with a smile! It was “2 follow me”…While sitting there sooo long you can see all the waitstaff likes to hang out in the bar area. It shouldn’t matter WHERE you sit! Every customer should matter and feel welcomed in your establishment. Lack of training is differently apparent here because some people aren’t instilled with “work ethic “ but if TRAINED right it can be taught! I realize the help situation is hard to come by but if you can’t train the ones you got to be BETTER than what we witnessed tonight then I don’t know how your going to make it. They had a lot of Chefs mics as chef Ramsay's calls them. Chef microwaves. Fries were so cold that I could taste the frozen in them. The burger was a joke. Mcdonalds $1 is bigger and tastes better than jacks burger. All their food is frozen. I used to go to jacks since 2016 until it got burned down. Reopen is a joke. Food is like prison food. I think prison food is better. Why are cactus jacks using frozen food? Ain't no grill. The only grill is the microwave. Jacks has gone downhill. It's so loud in there. My head was hurting. I miss the old country-style. Now it's trying to be Refz. Cactus food is all frozen food that's heated in the microwave. All the food has no taste at all! I have been a casual customer since 2016. I am going somewhere else. The bar I'd just a regular bar. Nothing special. Why so many tvs? Stop hitting the bell. It's annoying. Cactus jacks are not the same. It's just a low-budget Rip off Wannabe Refz. Go to Refz. Foods are better, and it's more peaceful there. I will say this. I have been going there since the best waitress was there. MAMA D. Bring her back and make her a manager. She will get that place where it was. Best waitress ever in the world. She always made sure my beer was cold and food was cooked perfectly. Due to you cant add a new review, ill add to my old one. we had a lady come over to us an stated we need to treat the waitress better or we wont be welcomed back. My husband an i didnt talk bad to the waitress. An neither did my children. she left an came back threw boxes on our table an our receipt an walked away. They scratched out the person that was at the reg and the waitress name so that we couldnt see it. After we paid out i asked the girl at the booth that seat people, what the name was of our waitress, and she (our waitress) stated that they dont want her to give it to us . Well if its not ment for us to see, it wouldnt be on the receipt. Megan walked up an said why do you need her name to write a bad review? Thats what review are for to express your experience. When she paid us out the name was on the receipt. Dont think thats her name but it stated (LESLIE) well they did not come back to our table after the food was brought, so we never got refills on our drinks an had to wait to be paid out because they would not come to the table. An now 2 of the girls are trying to add me on fb and following me.
