I just got back from a fabulous little "brunch" with my friend from Tu Casa COFFEE shop. This is NOT the Mexican Restaurant Tu Casa's, which is right next store, but it's the coffee shop in the corner of that plaza. It looks small from the outside, but on the inside, it's a spacious, clean, and inviting coffee/breakfast/brunch & lunch cafe. I ordered a BLAT, which is a BLT with avocado on a lightly toasted plain bagel with a light flavored mayo. It was EXCELLENT!! The bacon was freshly cooked on the griddle and plentiful. They have pancakes, French toast and all the traditional breakfast options, along with so many other specialty options, a variety of coffees, teas, and latte's, but so much more including some freshly made pastries. I've been living in Dostero for several years now and never paid much attention to this shop because I'm not a coffee drinker & it looked so small from the outside, I just assumed it was mainly a coffee shop. I was wrong and I've been missing out! If you're looking for a great place to meet up with a friend(s) for some really good food, you've got to check...

I would’ve been more understanding if the place was busy, but when I got there, there was no one there. When my items were made, I told the cashier that my drink was suppose to be iced not hot. He got very upset, and made it obvious he was mad that he had to remake it. Their online ordering system is also not very reliable, as there’s no actual “receipt” of your purchase with details of what...
Read moreAs a school bus driver, I often find myself in Colorado towns on weekends, driving students to athletic events. This is my go-to coffee shop in Gypsum. For my money, they make the best breakfast burritos in Colorado. The tortilla by itselt was out of this world, and the eggs were obscenely creamy. The coffee is excellent, and there's never a rush. I can hunker down with my laptop for as long as I like.
It's just a two-block walk north of the high school, and well worth the visit. Visit this shop and do your part to support breakfast...
