Tu Casa Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Gypsum

I went here with my husband and our friends. Our experience as a whole was less than ideal. The server was very inattentive. Our friend’s food was subpar, and although my food tasted good, it was practically forgotten by the server and the kitchen. All food at our table had been delivered and the server who took our order couldn’t remember what I ordered and thought I had ordered something completely different. When reminding him of my original order, I did not receive it until after all our friends had finished eating. There were maybe 10 other people in the restart in addition to my group of 6 at this time and a total of two servers for the whole restaurant. I would be more understanding if they were more busy or if it was just the one server as I have been in the service industry myself. I then had to go to the bar and ask for the check because we had been waiting for a while after finishing our meal. I asked for a discount on my food because the inconvenience and extended time it took to get a salad- virtually no cooking involved. They indeed did NOT give us a discount. I would not come here again and honestly wouldn’t recommend anyone I know to come...

I've eaten from this restaurant twice but both times wasn't great. This time I ordered a torta, it's like i ordered it from some American restaurant instead of Mexican. The bread they use to make it is to hard and bulky and it's so small. They didn't add any cheese or beans or avocado to the torta. It wasn't worth it what so ever. Added fries for an extra 1, well they barely give you any fries. Also got a levanta Muerto and the mussels that were in the soup were practically all closed up. Everyone knows that if the shell doesnt open up it's no good, they could have gave us food poisoning. The people that work there are so dull and lifeless, it's like they don't know what good costumer service is. They don't acknowledge you and dont have any commun courtesy. I tried giving them a second chance but it just doesnt get better. Wasted $52 on the worst food, not worth any...

Traveling through and stopped by TuCasa...have eaten Mexican food all over the world and this is authentic Mexican cuisine... sauces are exceptional, food delicious, portions very generous. I had chicken enchiladas mole and husband had 3 different enchiladas each with unique sauce...may stick around a few more days to experience more of this extensive menu (and I'm not even a foody). Also, super kind, friendly staff and excellent service. Don't understand disparaging reviews about staff, those people must be difficult...
