Jack's Country Restaurant — Restaurant in Haddam

I visited for the first time on Sunday morning. Timed it just right because we waited about 15 minutes. Jack's is located in a small shopping strip, a few doors down from the post office.

Signage is kind of tricky because the sign has all of the other businesses on it, which makes it a lottle hard to see " Jack's".

There is plenty of parking and is across the street from the hardware store.

It is really cozy inside. The decor is that of Mel's diner or something late 70s to mid 80s.

I did not mind the decor because the staff was great and can I tell you about the food?

Ok, I will tell you about the food... The menu was abundant and accompanied by a special menu. The special menu included.... Orange Mimosa French Toast... WHAT??? Delicious is what.. I mean topped with sugar crystals and an orange garnished with the same and served with perfectly cooked chicken sausage. My heart smiled and my tummy fluttered when the waitress explained it.

Three thumbs up Jack's!!! I guess there is a reason why this place is listed in the top 5 breakfast spots in CT.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention... they close at noon.

I've been going to Jack's for years. I watched it change hands. It is hard to take something that is already working well and established within a community; maintain that continuity of service, and increase the quality of the product. They have done that. Nicole and her team have continued to produce an establishment that serves quality products every time. Get there early, get at least one of the specials (they are worth it). If they are on the menu, the biscuits are a must-have, for they are some of the tastiest things to ever honor your body with and will keep you satisfied. Eggs— any style, are expertly prepared by any of the chefs on the line. The hollandaise sauce for the benedicts is otherworldly in its near perfection. I went into Jack's with a group of 7 adults on a weekend morning, we expected to wait, but they had a table ready right away! The menu has all the breakfast foods you could want, something to satisfy sweet and savory cravings. The server was really attentive, and our food came out insanely fast. I had the quiche of the day (bacon and cheddar) and it was SO good and had a hashbrown crust. Other great meals to note were my Dad's Crab Cake Benedict, which he said was the best he ever had, and noted how fresh the crab tasted.
