Tandem bagels is my equivalent to, say, Einstein's bagels. Tandem is a cut above Breuggers, also, in that their bagels are fresher and made locally. The ownership and staff are capable of making all the same bagel sandwiches you would expect from a high-production bagel shop. There's a twist, though. Tandem is local and fresh and clean, and at the completion of your order, you know you got the best product for your money, knowing also that your money stays local and isn't siphoned through a chain to some CEO out if state. When I get a dozen bagels from Tandem, at least one bagel never makes it home, they are so tasty!!! I couldn't say that about the other bagel shops. My bagel sandwich choices are always meticulously made to order. And I always walk away happy. I am grateful with the speed, accuracy, and efficiency, as well as generosity and care that the staff at Tandem give to their customers. Great place to grab food to go, pre-order, or stop in to sit socially distanced. Tandem's signage and floor markings make getting their bagels and foods easy, and feel both safe and healthy. I continue to have an excellent experience at their Hadley branch. I give Tandem five stars for being an awesome successful local business!!! A+++ P.S.: Tandem can be found in Easthampton,...
Read moreJust had a terrible first time at Tandem in Hadley: I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese to go along with some other bagels that I got at the counter. I waited for my order to be filled for about 15 minutes while people who ordered after me, got their food first. When I asked about my order after 15 minutes, they told me it would be 5 to 10 more minutes. I patiently waited another 5 to 10 minutes and then went to ask them about my order. It was very apparent that my order had never been entered. I told them exactly what I had ordered and they said someone else must have taken my order since there were multiple orders with my name- even though I had been standing there waiting and never did they call my name. They said they were going to make it right now. After a few more minutes they called out my name, and I grab my bag and loaded my toddler into the car without double checking the receipt on the bag. When I got into my car I saw that they had given me the wrong order. So I had to lug my toddler out of the car back into the restaurant and tell them that they had given me the wrong order and now I had waited 35 minutes to get a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. My order was sitting there on the counter and they gave it to me and I finally got to leave and get on with my...
Read moreEverytime we go we always brave ourselves with some sort of disappointment. They either mess up our order, don't have what we've ordered or take almost 20mns to make the order even w/o anyone in front of us.
They also prioritize online orders, so don't think just because you took your lovely time to go in store they're going to prioritize you. You can sit there for 10mns+ waiting and you can see staff making and packaging up orders for people who aren't even there to pick them up.
The bagels are alright, but it all just tastes the same galric-cheesy flavor after awhile.
Also, please if you have an allergy of some type please check your order before leaving. We usually order basic and simple orders, and they've always managed to mess it up, but this place also offers sandwiches/meals with more components, so imagine having a food allergy and getting something you cannot eat and you've already paid for it.
Not sure if this is a management issue, but it doesn't seem like it's run like how it's suppose to. It looks like a bunch of chickens with their...
