Los Potrillos Mexican — Restaurant in Hagerman

I’m really disappointed with the consistency at this place. I’ve ordered the Carnitas burrito multiple times, always asking for beans, cheese, rice, sour cream, and extra cheese and sour cream. Instead, what I got today was basically a giant meat burrito — just a ton of pork and barely anything else. It was dry, unbalanced, and honestly kind of gross.

What makes it worse is this isn’t the first time. In the past, they’ve drowned the burrito in sour cream, and now it’s the opposite — like they just don’t pay attention to what’s actually ordered. For the price and the number of chances I’ve given, it’s just not worth it anymore.

If you’re picky about your burrito balance or expect a place to get your order right after multiple tries, I’d suggest...

We’re staying near by and have tried a handful of local restaurants and this was by far the best. Our waitress was very attentive and our whole service experience was perfect. And the food… absolutely delicious. From the salsa/beans and chips to our meals. Everything was warm, fresh and incredible. I’m picky when it comes to authentic and this was by far a 10/10. We spent the whole car ride back to our cabin finding excuses to come back to Hagerman so we can eat here again. I highly recommend for both service and for some delicious Mexican food....

Wish I could give it 6 stars 🌟. The food was of a high quality, out hostess/ server was very sweet and attentive. The portions are huge! You need to exit the 84 and head for this little restaurant. I had carnitas street tacos, and they were superb 👌. Our friend got steak and chicken fajitas and I ended 😋 up sharing some with him it was so much food. The ladies had enchiladas which they loved.
