Let me start with WOW! 1st visit to this little hidden gem and simply WONDERFUL! We have been hearing about this place for a couple years now, but (unfortunately) didn't get around to it till tonight.
I'll start with walking in. There is limited seating and the place has almost an old diner feel to it but very clean. There was soft and warm music playing in the background the gave the dining room a simple charm. We ordered 2 med. pizzas, 1 Greek with gyro meat and another Greek with red sauce. If you enjoy a TRUE New York style crust, you are in for a treat!!! The crust had that crispy bottom with a very thin, soft and slightly chewy center. The crust was light and airy and the flavor was very simple. The red sauce was slightly sweet and no acidic aftertaste that some cheaper restaurants use. The stringy cheese was GENEROUSLY sprinkled on the whole pizza and not a drop of oil could be found! EXCELLENT QUALITY!! The vegetables were lightly cooked to perfection, heated through but still crunchy and bright!
We were so impressed, that we wanted to let the owner know that she had FAR SURPASSED any other pizza joint in town. (By the way, they have a FULL menu of Italian and European cuisine that we are EAGER to try!) The owner was gracious enough to visit our table. To our great pleasure, she was old world charming, friendly and most accommodating!! I would tell you more about her but you need to experience this charismatic and LOVELY lady for yourself!!!
Hagerstown doesn't have a lot to offer in diverse cuisine, but DOLCE can easily compete with those gourmet, big city restaurants! We are blessed to to have this...

Now, let's talk about the food. Hands down, this place serves the best pizza in town. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside, the sauce had just the right balance of tanginess and sweetness, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste, leaving me craving for more.
What impressed me the most was the professionalism displayed by the entire team. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that this place took their craft seriously. The chefs worked meticulously, crafting each pizza with precision and care. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations.
Overall, I can't recommend this restaurant enough. With their great service, the best food in town, and their unwavering professionalism, they have truly set the bar high. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by and indulge in their mouthwatering pizzas and delicious foods on the menu. You won't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a small place with excellent service, we were seated right away and the waitress showed up promptly with menus and the only tough part was deciding between the many intriguing choices.
We both just wanted water to drink today and they brought us that promptly along with a hot roll for each of us.
My wife ordered Julia Stuffed Cabbage and I tried the Pasta Carbonara, our dinners came with salads and another hot roll.
We had admired the pictures of the stuffed cabbage online but they really didn't show how large the portion was I hope the pictures I've added make it more obvious, my wife had quite a bit left over.
The Pasta Carbonara had a definite wine flavor in the sauce I wouldn't give it to my grandchildren they wouldn't appreciate it but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
We also had the Homemade Donuts for dessert, these had a resemblance to funnel cake and were a very nice ending to our meal.
We plan on visiting again and trying some of the other items, some might think they were expensive but considering the amount and quality of the food I found the prices to be...
