Well it was as expected. Went in knowing it is a tavern not a 5 star restaurant and it was a fun time. Did not go in with an agenda only with an expectation of good atmosphere and tasty food. Atmosphere was chill and some great music playing and lots of chatter of patrons comfortable and content. Had the gianormous half pound Swiss mushroom burger 🍔 which was juicy and cooked a perfect medium rare as requested. It came with a side of chips and a dill pickle wedge but it was more than enough. Sweet little waitress and prices were fair. Took food a long bit to arrive but worth the wait. Not really a family vibe but perfect for adults who just want some good food in a chill place.
Second visit today. Had a super darling waitress named Taylor, she was great and super quick. She smiled the entire time we were there and didn't hesitate to accommodate our requests. Food was delish and tried the hog tied shrimp (who can resist anything with that name, lol). It was shrimp wrapped in bacon and seasoned then grilled........2 gianormous thumbs up!!! The house cut fries were all the name would infer I highly recommend. So once again if you want really good food in a super chill atmosphere give the Stadium Tavern a visit they do not...
Read moreA good enough seafood shack far from the sea. I'm use to dinning closer to the Chesapeake bay for seafood, so in comparison it's tough to call this place great. Total bill plus tip was around 110.00 bucks. That was for 2 adults and a kiddo. Not terrible for seafood, but deals are better closer to the water. As for food, I can recommend the shrimp appetizer. Snow crab legs seemed a bit over market but such things fluctuate. I can't recommend the soft shell crab sandwich. Tasted great but hardly any meat. It was mostly bread. Kiddo was given (I am so convinced it was) a small bowl of Kraft Mac and cheese with shoe string (McDonald's style) french fries. I don't expect gourmet on the kids menu, but Kraft? For the price, I don't think that can be justified. Service quality was okay, though expect it to take a while during peak hours. Locals will crowd you out on a Saturday night. Mostly it's a hangout for older couples. It's not a bad place to eat, but if it's a special occasion and seafood is what's on the menu, go closer to the bay. This is not the best place...
