My husband and I partook in a double-date night here, and it was such a fun time! We were warmly greeted right away and enjoyed a beverage at the bar. There are so many fun drinks to try. If your a fan of a classic Wisconsin Old Fashion, I recommend branching out to try one of the flavored options. My husband chose the Roasted Apple Old Fashion, and it was delicious! I opted for a Salted Caramel Coffee- also delicious! During our painting session, we shared a bottle of Cabernet. For food we shared a Bavarian pretzel and cheese. Now for the important part, the painting. We were so lucky to work with the owner and artist of Charmbiance, MeShelle. She's so talented! MeShelle had the base of our boards stained and ready to go. She helped put together our visions for our custom designs. We traced the plan onto the boards, and then we painted using the tracings. MeShelle provided wonderful advice every step of the way. Each board turned out amazing even though three of the four of us were not as skilled in painting. Give yourself some time if you have complex designs. I underestimated how long it would take, and we were there for over three hours. However, it was time well spent on creating a beautiful, high-quality pieces of artwork and lasting memories with friends. I highly recommend visiting Charmbiance!!

We had a great time! This place has a shabby chic country gift store feel with a stocked bar and arts/crafts projects. The owner MéShelle was the friendliness person ever! There was great communication leading up to the day which allowed us to customize our canvases. First thing we did was hit the bar, then we were lead to our table and given instructions on what to do. MéShelle helped us throughout the entire night. The couple downsides and the reason for four stars; prices are too high, for drinks and the arts/crafts projects. We were provided handles for our serving tray, but are responsible for adding it ourselves. It took way longer than expected, but we enjoyed the experience. The people you go with really make it fun and we had great company! Now that our projects are complete we are throwing a polyurethane party to preserve them!

I visited for the first time yesterday. It's a cute and cozy space. Tables and seating are convenient for different sized groups. The Halloween cocktail specials looked good, but I didn't have any, so can't comment. I was more interested in the wine. I loved that there were several wine options (both white and red), but I was disappointed that they were all kind of cheap options. I tried the red blend from Paso Robles, which was a fine table wine, but nothing special. The wine flights were super cute, but the wine was served in mini-mugs, and I'd really prefer a wine glass to get the full smell and flavor. I tried a bite of the soft pretzel that was shared at the table, and it was very good. The pizzas also looked good. I'd definitely come back, just not specifically for the wine.

Started off promising, but quickly went down hill.

My wife and I were in not too long after they opened at 4:00 PM this past Saturday, February 29. There were two other groups of people inside when we got there. The larger group seemed to just be enjoying some wine while chatting, and the smaller group was working on some arts and crafts.

My wife and I sat at the bar where we were immediately greeted and our order of glasses of wine taken. I tried a Malbec while my wife had a Red Blend.

While we were enjoying our glasses of wine, my wife noticed they have a mobile app you can download and sign up for offers/deals which she did. Upon setting everything up on the app, she was rewarded with a free drink! She showed this to the woman behind the bar, and was told that she didn't know how to do anything and was just helping her daughter out for the day.

A couple of ladies came in and also sat at the bar to order some wine. Once they got their glasses of wine, neither the owner or her mom (just helping out for the day) would be seen behind the bar again for quite some time. These two ladies that were at the bar next to us couldn't order any more beverages should they want to, nor could they get their tab to close out. They ended up leaving some cash on the bar and leaving unnoticed.

We decided we were not going to stay for another drink as well, and finally got the mom's attention to get us our tab. This lead to us being told she could not close us out herself because she did not know how to run a debit or credit card and had to get her daughter the owner to do it. The owner seemed more focused on cleaning up the place (while open for business rather than having this done before opening), and had to be flagged down to close us out.

Ultimately, it was a disappointing experience. My wife had been wanting to check out Charbiance for quite a while and we finally had a chance this past weekend. She ended up feeling like she would not want to bother going back again due to the lack of customer service we...

First let me start with the overall atmosphere. It is an adorable little business. Very quaint. The atmosphere was upbeat. Lots of laughter and people having a great time! There was some live jazz music toward the end of the time we were there. Very nice!

My frustration and the reason for the 3 stars was customer service related. We entered the business and it was not busy. We stood at the entry not very long and a nice gentleman greeted us and my friend told him we were there for a 7:00 class. He said, “ does that look like your project over there?” We could not tell from the distance away from the table it was placed on so we walked over to it. It was our project. And that was all of the help we had for the next 2 hours. Although it became obvious fairly quickly how to do our chosen project, Charmbiance has a different approach to their board and brush projects; this too was a surprise to us. I had to go to the bar to ask questions, no one came to help. No one asked us for a drink order until an hour into our visit. After that, she stopped by our table several times. When I booked this project online and there were several emails back and forth, we were told their would be guidance, there was none. I asked the gentleman at the bar if we would have any help, he said, “yes, from Michelle, but I don’t see her right now.” With regards to the project: this is not your standard stencil painting project place. They write or draw out your picture on paper and then you transfer it to the wood by writing over it onto an ink sheet and then onto the wood piece. You are then hand painting it when the tracing/transfer is done. I looked on their website after the class and I could not find that explained anywhere. We were disappointed to say the least. I am not an artist. I like clean straight lines and I was hoping for a much different project than I brought home. I know I am speaking for my friend as well. If you want a standard stencil board and brush project, this is not the...

On May 7th I made a reservation for a class on May 29th. Four other family members signed up with me. We understood the no cancellations policy. I contacted MeShelle to reschedule and all was well. We hoped to return on June 12th. I asked to have my son and husband moved to the class on the 12th. I got a message from MeShelle “I don’t know what you are referring to adding those names??are they going to be walk-ins and choose a project??” I wrote back that I had indicated I wanted to sit with them as they were my husband and son. On 5/29 at 2:24 pm MeShelle emailed and asked if J and M, my brother in-law and his wife were still coming? On May 29th at 2:29pm I responded that they also would not be coming because their trip was rescheduled due to us taking our son to ND since he had accepted a job there. On May 29th at 5:34 pm I received an email from MeShell stating that she has come in because my husband,son,brother-in law and wife had not rescheduled correctly. She also informed me the new date in June would not work for everyone and we needed to pick a different date. On May 30th I emailed MaShelle twice apologizing for the misunderstanding and telling her that my brother in law and his wife would not be attending and that they understood there would be no refund. I also asked to meet with MeShelle if possible at her convenience on June 7th to apologize for the misunderstanding and to reschedule a time while there for a future date. MeShelle’s answer was “if you still want to come June 4th I will need a new project choice for arrows. They will not be available for that class date. Otherwise I will need another class date further out.” So, that was the answer I got to wanting to apologize in person! I wrote her back and told her we would not be rescheduling. My take, if you want to go to Charmbiance be...
