Rodney's Kitchen — Restaurant in Halifax

I just wanted to give a shout out to Briget and Rodney of Rodney's Kitchen. My Fiancé and I live I Wisconsin. We went home to Massachusetts in April and my Fiancé's mom, Shirley provided us with an amazing meal from Rodney's Kitchen. It was delicious! Fast forward to October. My Fiancé and I wanted to give his Mom a special birthday gift because his Dad had been sick and they haven't been able to get out in weeks. My Fiancé's parents order from Rodney's Kitchen once a week and it's their absolute favorite. Rodney's Kitchen provides his parents with the little joy they still have left. Out of ideas, Mike (my Fiancé), called Rodney's Kitchen. Briget was more than happy to accommodate his parents. They were able to provide a special request all the way from Wisconsin.Rodney himself made a special delivery to Mike's parents with a balloon with their favorite meal and dessert. What an incredible jester especially during a pandemic and because most establishments are short staffed. Rodney's Kitchen never hesitated to help us provide theirs customers with a special meal on a special day. From the bottom of our hearts Mike and I can't thank you enough. You made Shirley and Jimmy so happy during a difficult time in their lives. You treated Mike's parents as they were your own. The hand personal birthday note was so special. They raved about the foods as always. We wish all restaurants were like yours! You are amazing. Thank you! The kindness you provided is so rare in this world. ❤ Mike and Melissa...

A MILLION times better than any of the other establishments that were in this location. Every restaurant has it's hiccups in the beginning, but Rodney's keeps getting better and better. The owner and staff are so nice and very accommodating and that's just the beginning. Try anything with the marinara. Its good hot and cold. We've used it as a roasted tomato spread because the tomatoes are so chunky and delicious. The Crab Cakes are perfect. TONS of crab! Really good filler, with carrots, peppers and onions for a nice take. The calzones have an amazing thin crispy crust. Meatballs are awesome. The fries are crispy and stay hot. If they're a little cold they toast up even better in a toaster oven so they're ideal as leftovers. And don't me started on desserts....

Ordered four large pizzas. All four covered in bubbles (see pic). Brought them back and was told by manager I didn’t know pizza. To no surprise the pizza tasted terrible. Believe it or not I am not one to normally complain, but getting four pizzas that look like the attached pic and being told this is how ‘all their pizzas are’ and that they ‘stand by it’ is insulting. Later found pics on their site and Facebook and they do NOT look like this. Before you throw stones I gave them two chances to address privately (after all, I get that places make mistakes), but it was very disappointing when they didn’t want to acknowledge the issue. I understand sometimes you get a couple bubbles but there is far more dead space/bubbles...
